28-1 and looked green enough early on on her debut at Thirsk (6f, good) last month, but went on to show a bit of promise when beaten less than 5L. Should come on for that run and is unlikely to be far away.

£50,000 yearling; half-sister to winners Moraawed (6f/7f) and Crash Helmet (6f AW), out of a 5f 2yo winner. Trainer 13% with his 2yos and this filly might be capable of a good showing on debut. Market check.

One of two in the field for this top stable. Was supported in to 7-1 on debut at Catterick last week, when looked to get the hang of things late on and finished 3½L fifth. Should be more to come this time. Possible contender.

€55,000 yearling; half-sister to three French winners, one a sprinter and two over middle distances, out of a Listed-placed 1m2f winner. Trainer 13% with 2yos over five seasons and no surprise to see this filly make a competitive debut.

100-30 on her recent debut at Lingfield (6f, AW), where she got off to a flyer but couldn't maintain the gallop and finished 2¾L second. That was still a promising effort, and she can again get heavily involved here.

Well held on debut at Doncaster (5f, good to soft) last month, but made big strides forward when ¾L second at Newbury (6f, good to soft) since then. A repeat of that or better would see her go close again.

Went off at 22-1 for her debut at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) last month, when she raced keenly, so did very well considering that to finish strongly and be a 1½L fifth. That race is working out well, and she looks a serious contender here.

27,000gns yearling; first foal; dam an unraced sister to UAE 5f dirt Listed winner Shillong. Trainer has a healthy 18% strike-rate with his 2yos. Check the market for any confidence, as she might show up well on debut.

28-1 on her recent debut at Ripon (5f, good), where she led until weakening and was beaten 7L. Should improve for that experience, but plenty more needed to be competitive.

Outran her 28-1 SP on debut when making the frame at Pontefract (6f, good). Couldn't build on that on her first AW run at Newcastle since then (7f). Drops back in trip and more is needed in this field.

Forecasts

Bay Of Whispers (16/5), Dujac (10/3), Amor De Mi Vida (4/1), West Way Never (6/1), Glitterbox Girl (15/2), Nurse Dee (14/1), Keeping Secrets (18/1), Iris Dancer (20/1), Listen Again (25/1), Case Of The Ex (33/1), Excelo (80/1)

17:35 York - 25 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Several of these have already shown promise, so this looks interesting on paper. Amor de Mi Vida should again be a contender, while Nurse Dee looks another such runner. Bay Of Whispers may be many people's idea of the winner after an improved effort last time, but slight preference is for DUJAC, who ran well on debut despite having the choke out, and looks to have a big chance this time, given how well that race is working out.
  1. Iris Dancer
  2. Bay Of Whispers
  3. Amor de Mi Vida
