German Group 1 winner who has also won at this level on these shores (both 1m4f, good). Was back close to his best on his recent Sandown Listed reappearance, when a neck second, and can't rule him out over the same trip here.
Won this last year (soft) before returning to finish third in the Group 1 International (good) in August. Group 3 third on his reappearance at Haydock was slightly below that level and didn't get home over 1m4f last time. Contender back in trip.
Dual Newbury winner, one of them in Listed company over a similar trip (soft) this time last year. Well held in the Queen Anne on his reappearance, before finishing just behind Aspetar in Listed company at Sandown last time. Not written off.
Listed winner over 1m (good to firm) at Sandown last season, before going close in the St James's Palace Stakes and then 2L fourth here in the International. Hasn't bettered that run, but made respectable Group 3 return and is another not ruled out.
Course winner a couple of years ago in a Group 3 (1m1f, good to firm) and of course won the Group 1 Queen Anne last year (1m, good). Has won over this trip, but is probably vulnerable to genuine middle distance performers at this level.
Dual Group 3 winner, including over this trip, but has not managed to improve on the second of those which came at Sandown 14-months ago. Has been placed at this level, but needs to pull out more to win.
Last year's Group 2 Dante winner (good to firm), who went on to finish last in the Derby and beat one home in the Eclipse. Has returned in better form and won a French Group 3 last time (1m2f, good to soft). Contender if repeating that effort.
Forecasts
Elarqam (15/8), Telecaster (10/3), King Of Comedy (13/2), Regal Reality (7/1), Fox Chairman (8/1), Aspetar (11/1), Lord Glitters (16/1)
Although he hasn't enjoyed an ideal start to this season, last year's winner ELARQAM might still be good enough to record a repeat success now dropping back to this trip. Telecaster is back in the sort of form that saw him win last year's Dante and looks a danger, while King Of Comedy and Regal Reality also look potential contenders.
