Won a Pontefract novice event (5f, good) on her second juvenile start, before being held in Group/Listed company. Well held on her Haydock reappearance, but much better back at Pontefract last time and looks a contender from the same mark.
Improving gelding who has been busy since the resumption of racing and scored on his third start of the season at Haydock (6f, soft) last time. Up 7lb for that, but if able to repeat that sort of effort he would again go close.
Showed improved form to win his first two nursery starts last September, one on AW and the other on soft ground. 4lb higher than the latter here, but has a bit to prove based on his last two starts.
Progressed nicely to win her third juvenile start at Ripon (5f) last August. Well held in Listed company abroad next time, but ran well here last week after a break on her handicap debut. Drops 1lb and with a bit of improvement would be a contender.
Another who scored on his third start, when landing a Newcastle novice event (5f, AW) comfortably in January. Not as good in three turf handicaps this season, however, but is being cut some slack now. Not ruled out.
Dual AW sprint winner who has yet to make the frame in six attempts on turf. Well held here last time and hard to make a case for him from just 2lb lower.
AW juvenile winner over 5f and added to that since joining this trainer when he scored at Chelmsford (5f) last month. Not far off that level of form on turf at Lingfield (good) since then, but more needed now she has been nudged up 2lb.
Forecasts
Clareyblue (9/4), Chairmanic (5/2), Hot Affair (5/1), Queen's Order (11/2), Sampers Seven (8/1), Dazzling Des (16/1), Stone Soldier (33/1)
Queen's Order bounced back to form last time and should be capable of being closely involved here, while Chairmanic is another potential contender if holding or improving on his Haydock winning form. Clareyblue is not ruled out, but HOT AFFAIR performed well here last time, is still going the right way, and can score.
