By Dubawi out of 1m5f Listed winner Hidden Gold, herself a half-sister to September Stakes winner Royal Line. Will stay beyond 1m in time, but yard has won this twice in the last five years, so this filly deserves maximum respect.

By a speed influence, but dam was a 1¾m winner, and closely related to Irish Derby winner Frozen Fire. Both yard's 2-y-o winners this year have come on debut at Kempton.

Unraced dam is a daughter of owner's Group 1 Prix Vermeille winner Mezzo Soprano. Very much caught the eye when second of 9 to She's So Nice in a 6f maiden at Newmarket earlier in the month. Sure to improve, and experience a plus against newcomers.

By Frankel out of connections' 2-y-o 7f Listed winner Light Music. Makes appeal on paper, and four of yard's five juvenile winners this term have come at the first time of asking.

Dam was a useful 7f nursery winner, and this daughter of The Last Lion is a half-sister to 1¼m winner Moorland Spirit. Looks yard's neglected, but stable struck with a 28/1 'second string' at Sandown on Thursday.
By New Approach out of an Australian 6f/7f winner. Yard not got going with its juveniles so far this summer, with a smattering of runners all well beaten.

Full-sister to 1m1½f winner Endless Echoes and half-sister to smart winner up to 1¾m Hamada, out of a daughter of Irish Oaks winner Lailani. One of two from yard which has won this race twice since 2016.

Horse silk

By Frankel out of connections' 1000 Guineas winner Sky Lantern. Superbly bred, and appears the pick of a pair from the yard, which won this contest with smart Cloak of Spirits last year, so must figure on the shortlist.

Horse silk
25/1
Full-sister to smart 1¼m winner Forest of Dean and half-sister to 2-y-o 7½f winner Golden Crown and winner up to 1m½f Crowning Glory, both smart. Yard 6-27 with 2-y-o's on turf this season, so folly to ignore.

Horse silk

closely related to 1¼m/1m3f winner Regal Director and half-sister to smart 7½f-1¼m Sharja Queen and 6f winner Aristocratic Lady, out of a winning half-sister to Dubawi. Yard 6-40 with 2-y-o's this year, and she merits a market check.

Forecasts

Isle Of May (15/8), Renaissance Rose (16/5), Zabeel Queen (5/1), Snow Lantern (6/1), Creative Flair (15/2), Light Refrain (16/1), State Occasion (25/1), Ezasque (28/1), Luxy Lou (33/1), Political Approach (80/1)

13:15 Ascot - 25 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Plenty of well-related and/or expensive newcomers in this event, and the market will hopefully prove useful. Charlie Appleby has won two of the last four, and is represented by both Renaissance Rose and Creative Flair, both of whom deserve a second look, but the vote goes to SNOW LANTERN, who has Guineas winners as parents, and who represents the stable which won this with 1000 Guineas runner-up Cloak of Spirits a year ago.
  1. Snow Lantern
  2. Renaissance Rose
  3. Creative Flair
