Useful stayer on the Flat and immediately translated that ability to hurdles, running out a ready winner on debut here two weeks ago despite some reservations about the trip being too short. Harder task under the penalty here, but is race fit.
Regressive on the Flat for Jim Goldie and in truth, pulled up no trees on hurdles debut for new yard here earlier in the month, jumping letting him down. Will know more here and may improve, but in truth he needs to.

His fourth to Calva D'Auge at Wincanton in a good quality novice hurdle shows there's races to be won with him, but he will be of more interest in handicaps after today.

Bumper winner on debut last October and showed plenty when third on hurdles debut at Ludlow in January. That form is working out okay, and with no ground worries, he's the one to beat if he can reproduce that here.
Bumper winner on debut at Worcester last September bodes well for his future, and there was nothing wrong with his third to two potentially useful ones at Fakenham when last seen. First runner of the season for yard.

Half-brother to winning hurdler/chaser Lake Field, also trained by Kim Bailey. Looked in need of more time when well held in a bumper at Ludlow in January and despite good yard form, is best watched here.

Maiden winner at Dundalk (12f) for John Feane last December but showed next to nothing on hurdles debut for this new yard at Southwell earlier in the month. Can only be watched here.

Showed a little ability in four starts on the Flat and it wasn't a disaster on hurdles debut here last week, finishing midfield. Will have learnt a bit from that but looks one for handicaps further down the line.

Showed next to nothing in three starts on the Flat and would be of little interest other than the fact these connections landed a bit of a touch with one at Stratford earlier in the month. Market check required on that.

One win in six starts in the French provinces, but ran too free when well held on the Flat on first start for this yard at Kempton last month. In good hands though, and better can be expected if he settles here.

Didn't show a lot in five starts on the Flat in France and was pulled up after weakening out if things too quickly for comfort on hurdles debut at Huntingdon in March. Best watched.

Not a bad effort at Sedgefield when second to the useful Desaray Girl back in January, a run that would give her place chances getting a bit of weight here. Yard had a winner on the Flat earlier in the week, and she has a squeak here.

Forecasts

Timoshenko (4/5), Hunting Percival (3/1), Leroy Brown (9/2), Light In The Sky (11/1), Employer (25/1), Leeswood Lily (33/1), Owbeg (50/1), Yaazaain (66/1), How's The Cricket (66/1), Hurricane Ali (66/1), Bashful Boy (100/1), Jolyon (125/1)

12:35 Uttoxeter - 23 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Hunting Percival probably has the single best piece of form but the Lacey yard is slow to get going, and the race-fit TIMOSHENKO may be able to take advantage. It's not like he doesn't have the class to give the penalty away either, his Flat form indicates there's probably a lot more to come from him over hurdles after his good win here last time, and he can follow up. Light In The Sky could be a threat if settling, Leroy Brown ought to improve at some stage and for those wanting an each-way bet, Leeswood Lily could be the answer.
  1. Timoshenko
  2. Hunting Percival
  3. Leeswood Lily
