Failed to win in the point-to-point sphere but made taking start for this handler when winner of Southwell bumper (2m) earlier this month. Has a penalty but is the one to beat.

Horse silk
40/1
Kayf Tara gelding. Dam was an unraced half-sister to useful mixed performer Saroque and 2m1f hurdle winner Storm Boxer. Not the most taking pedigree however and looks up against it on debut.

Dens Delight
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: G Sheehan| T: O Murphy
5/2
Tin Horse gelding. Half-brother to 2m hurdle winner Mille Chief and French 1m1f winner Trogir. Dam was a winner on the flat in France. Taking pedigree for top connections. Respected.

First foal out of a fair hurdle winner between 2m3f-2m6f. Sister to smart middle-distance performer Two Taffs. Yard tends to do well in these type of races. Shortlisted.

14/1
Cheap €1,7000 purchase as a yearling. Dam was unplaced on the track. Half-sister to six winners including Teatral (3m) and Mister RM (2m4f). Should be a useful staying prospect in time.

22/1
Second foal. Dam was a point-to-point winner and over 2m3f over hurdles. Half-sister to useful hurdler Four Jacks. Some appeal on pedigree but others have more pressing claims.

Forecasts

Ultimate Getaway (5/4), Dens Delight (5/2), Rickety Gate (3/1), Flexi Furlough (14/1), Floted (22/1), Abbott's Lodge (40/1)

15:40 Market Rasen - 20 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Ultimate Getaway is the obvious choice for many given his perfect rules debut and sets the form standard, however there is every chance his 7lb penalty could prove to be a hindrance. So it is worth taking a chance with debutante DENS DELIGHT, who has an appealing pedigree being related to many winners and represents a very strong trainer/jockey combination. Rickety Gate hails from a yard who ready these types for their bumper/rules debut so would be dangerous to discount of.
  1. Dens Delight
  2. Ultimate Getaway
  3. Rickety Gate
