11/1
Yet to win over hurdles (322632) since joining David Pipe; was held when making a bad mistake at the final flight in a Taunton maiden (2m½f, heavy) in March; started 100-1 for the Ascot Stakes at Royal Ascot latest (17th of 19).

11/1
Won for the first time since a productive spell in the summer of 2018 when beating Fair Kate by 3¾L at Taunton (2m½f, soft) in March; 7lb higher, but reasonably competitive in the past from marks in the low 120's.

5/1
4lb higher than when successful over hurdles (for Alastair Ralph) at Aintree (2m4f, good) in May 2019; has been chasing for Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Snowden more latterly; was caught close home at Stratford (2m5f) 11 days ago.

16/1
No win since December 2018 (Sandown, 2m Listed; heavy); advancing in years, but only slowly easing in the weights; was beaten 15+L (third) by Twenty Twenty at Fontwell (2m3f, soft) in March; others readily preferred.

Sense Of Adventure246
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  112WS
20/1
No more than a modicum of promise over hurdles (0-3), and a tailed-off last of ten to stablemate Alnadam at Uttoxeter (2m, heavy) last November; take serious notice of any sustained market move on handicap debut post wind surgery.

Jac Brown13
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: Mrs D A Hamer| OR:  112
7/2
Ffos Las bumper winner (May 2019); has done okay over hurdles without winning (0-5); kept on reasonably well into third place at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) a fortnight ago; it'll come as no real surprise if he makes the frame.

Fleeting Visitp24
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: Max Kendrick(3)| T: D Killahena & G McPherson| OR:  112| D
5/1
Runner-up off this mark (112) over C&D in October 2018; off for 16 months thereafter until reappearing on the AW earlier this year; has proved his race-fitness, but the sneaking suspicion is that others will be better handicapped.

Tel'artp18
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-4| J: N de Boinville| T: B Pauling| OR:  111| CD
10/3
Always on the pace when scoring with plenty in hand over C&D (Class 5) earlier this month; a subsequent 9lb rise (into a Class 4) will make life tougher, but surely the one to beat if in anything like the same kind of form.

Ben Brody432
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-0| J: J J Burke| T: D J Jeffreys| OR:  107| D
9/1
Reasonably consistent over hurdles in Ireland (for Sean Byrne), and won't be found wanting for stamina reserves; eased 8lb since sole start for D J Jeffreys (May 2019); monitor the market vibes.

Forecasts

Tel'art (10/3), Jac Brown (7/2), Fleeting Visit (5/1), Included (5/1), All Yours (8/1), Ben Brody (9/1), Voodoo Doll (11/1), Yaa Salaam (11/1), Man Of Plenty (16/1), Sense Of Adventure (20/1)

16:50 Southwell - 19 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The market could potentially offer an indicative guide to the chances of Sense Of Adventure (Dan Skelton) and Ben Brody (D J Jeffreys), so it's worth keeping both of those aforementioned horses on your side. Meanwhile, the likes of All Yours (running well on the AW), Yaa Salaam (consistent for David Pipe) and Included (reverts to hurdling) are all more than capable of having some form of say. However, with the expectation that he can reproduce the kind of form which saw him run out an emphatic C&D winner 18-days ago, Ben Pauling's TEL'ART is by far the most obvious play.
  1. Tel'art
  2. Included
  3. Yaa Salaam
