Horse silk
300/1
Started at odds of 150-1 when tailed off on debut at Lingfield (7f AW) four weeks ago; look elsewhere with immense confidence.

10/3
By Australia; kept on pleasingly (25-1) when second best to the John Gosden-trained Love And Thunder here (1m, good) five weeks ago; should relish this extra two furlongs.

Combine25
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Jason Watson| T: H Palmer| OR:  82
12/1
80,000gns yearling; has run to a similar level of form in both career starts, including when finishing a keeping on fourth (beaten 2L) to Dubai Quality at Kempton (1m) latest.

Horse silk
6/1
By Kingman; made eye-catching late headway when finishing sixth (33-1) to the Roger Varian-trained Jaariyah on debut at Kempton (7f) last October; is closely related to the 2m AW winner Cogital.

Horse silk
40/1
By Golden Horn out of the US Gr 3 winner Dalvina (7f-1m4f); half-sister to Dal Harraild (1m-2m) and Dal Horrisgle (1m½f-1m2½f); one of three for William Haggas, so the market can offer an indicative guide to her chance.

Horse silk
200/1
By Poet's Voice (€1,000 vendor yearling); hasn't shown much promise in two starts to date (Chelmsford and Windsor); simply can't be the solution on that basis.

Flippance17
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: David Probert| T: A King
200/1
Tailed off (25-1) on debut at Kempton (1m3f) earlier this month, and therefore has a mountain to climb in order to turn the tables on La Dragontea (second) and Horn Of Plenty (third).

Horn Of Plenty17
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Oisin Murphy| T: A M Balding| OR:  77
7/1
Experienced Golden Horn filly (75,000gns yearling); twice placed in recent weeks (1m2f-1m3f), including a related form line with La Dragontea; the BHA assessor probably has her about right with an opening mark of 77.

Forecasts

Jaaizah (11/4), Coconut (10/3), La Dragontea (5/1), Cosmic Princess (6/1), Horn Of Plenty (7/1), Midrarr (15/2), Combine (12/1), Progressive (28/1), Najima (33/1), Dalhousie (40/1), Rudaina (80/1), Evening Verse (200/1), Flippance (200/1), Bronze Florin (300/1)

12:30 Newbury - 18 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

William Haggas saddles a trio of runners, including newcomers Dalhousie and Najima. However, it is Ryan Moore who takes the mount aboard the Dubawi filly Midraar, and she is expected to improve considerably on her sixth-placed finish at Doncaster (strong race). Plenty of the others have previous history, with La Dragontea (second) and Horn Of Plenty (third) filling the minor places at Kempton, while COCONUT (second) and Jaaizah (fourth) also clashed over 1m here in June. Ed Walker's charge kept on pleasingly on that occasion (out-running her 25-1 odds), and on pedigree should relish every single hoof-print of this extra yardage.
  1. Coconut
  2. Midrarr
  3. La Dragontea
