Didn't show much only start last season but did better after 11-month absence when third in a Kempton maiden over this trip. Unsuited by steady pace on handicap bow at Windsor, and worth another chance to progress.

Went close at Leicester at the back-end of last season, but well beaten on both starts this year. Wore cheekpieces on latest start at Bath, and now tried in a visor.

All three handicap starts have come here in recent weeks, and he's been placed each time. May benefit from drop in trip after finishing third of 10 to Dancing Approach over 1m3½f last time, and one to consider despite wide draw.

Promise on debut over an inadequate trip, and improved when 1¼L fourth of 10 to Hold Fast in a 1¼m maiden at Kempton last month. Bit too free on handicap debut at Newmarket, but that race has worked out well, and he still appeals as well treated.

Expensive to follow in three starts last year for William Haggas, the best of them when runner-up over 7f at Kempton. Looked unwilling when last of 9 on debut for new yard at Goodwood (flashed tail), and visor reached for now.

Didn't set the world alight in two outings last autumn and was gelded soon after. Stayed on from a poor position over 1m½f at Wolverhampton on return last month, and this trip should suit now handicapping. Shortlisted from a very fair opening mark.

Merely matched previous best when fourth in a 1m1½f nursery at Wolverhampton in November, but belatedly got back on an upward curve when third of 10 to King's Charisma here last time. Can build on that granted a better start.

Out of a half-sister to yard's top-class miler Canford Cliffs. Just minor promise in three juvenile runs, but bred to do better, and trainer pays to follow with handicap debutants, so a market check is required on his return from absence.

Half-sister to connections' Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf winner Queen's Trust out of a well-related Group 3 winner at this trip. Been brought along gradually in qualifying, and is the type to take off in handicaps this term. Much respected..

Unplaced on all four handicap starts, which puts his task in perspective, but he did shape better than the result at Ripon last time, and is falling to a mark he could take advantage of soon. Not dismissed.

Quite highly tried on his two juvenile starts before being gelded. Improved a little when 5¾ lengths fifth of 11 to King's Castle in a 1¼m Beverley novice last month. Open to significant improvement now handicapping.

Better effort this season when 1¼L second of 10 to King's Charisma over a similar trip here last time. Up 3lb for that defeat, and will need to pull out more.

Made a promising enough start last back-end, but hasn't progressed as yet. Better effort in handicaps when fourth of 10 to Le Chiffre over an extended mile at Hamilton last time. Not certain to build on that.

Showed promise in novice events as a juvenile, but no progress switched to nurseries. Gelded and well held on return, but had valid excuses there, and finished with running left. Should do better now.

Scored over an extended 7f at Beverley (good/soft) last August, and back on track in cheekpieces when a close fourth over 1m at Musselburgh last time. Races off same mark here, but this looks tougher

Has improved since returning from a break last month, winning over 1¼m at Chelmsford and running well when third of 11 at Leicester last time. Comes from off the pace, so likely strong gallop should aid his cause.

A fair number of these are unexposed and likely to improve at the trip now handicapping, notably Arij, Queen's Favour and Western Hero, but the one who gets the vote in a tight contest is MAFIA POWER, who was just too keen in a hot Newmarket handicap which has already thrown up winners, and that education is unlikely to be lost on him here.
