Won a Group 3 over C&D two years ago, and lightly raced since. Excellent second of 8 to Space Blues in Group 3 Prix de la Porte Maillot at Longchamp last month, and solid claims down in class.
Best efforts last year when a close fourth in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes and third in Group 2 Celebration Mile, at Goodwood. Second to Limato in the Criterion Stakes at Newmarket last time, and holds every chance at this lower level of competition.
Runner-up in Turf Sprint at King Abdulaziz (Saudi Arabia) in February, and went off far too fast when 5¾L fifth of 9 to Limato in Criterion Stakes at Newmarket last time. Better than that, but would make more appeal on former turf.
Highly progressive as a 3-y-o, ending with a Group 2 win over 1m at Longchamp. Failed to find his form in a truncated 2019 campaign, though, and hard to know what to expect on his return from an absence.
Mudlark who dead-heated with Archer's Dream at Salisbury last June. Back to form on last two starts, beaten a neck by that filly in a 6f event here last time, and equally effective at this trip. Won't be far away.
Fit from a spell in Meydan when fourth to Love in the 1000 Guineas last month. Below form in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot next time, though, and others make more appeal at the weights.
Forecasts
Happy Power (2/1), D'bai (3/1), Snazzy Jazzy (4/1), Mubtasim (13/2), Final Song (15/2), Ostilio (14/1)
D'bai appeals most of a trio representing Godolphin, and is fully effective over course and distance, while Happy Power will find this easier than chasing Limato's tail in the Criterion Stakes. That pair are readily shortlisted, but the narrow vote goes to SNAZZY JAZZY, whose yard is in great form, and who has already run two solid races here this season.
