5/1
Course winner ((8.5f) under a front-running ride who has since gained two further victories at Musselburgh in similar fashion. Produced his best effort of the season to win last time (7.2f), game effort, may face some pace pressure this time.

Ran his best race for a while returning from a break at Doncaster (7f, firm) despite being demoted a place for causing interference. Yet to win off a mark this high he's 0-8 going right-handed (well beaten two previous runs here).

Made her seasonal return in a race at Yarmouth (7f, firm) that's proving good form off a 2lb higher mark than she faces here. Unable to build on that effort last time at Doncaster (7f, firm) finishing behind Kentuckyconnection, may yet bounce back.

Musselburgh (7.2f, good) maiden winner last year in a hood, yet to really fire in handicaps (well held at Thirsk last time, 6f). Not ideally placed last time her mark is easing all the time, would have some sort of claim on her best efforts.

Succession of placed efforts as a 2yo including in handicaps on AW/turf at 6f running respectably each time. Gave the impression on more than one occasion that this trip would suit, hood used last year disappears, yard in decent form of late.

17/2
Fair handicapper, slipped 6lb below his highest winning mark although he's 0-11 around here (couple of placed efforts). Failed to come on for his return run at Redcar (1m, good/firm) last time, others look to have better claims despite his mark.

Twice a winner last year at up to 1m, made a winning return at Thirsk (7f, good without needing to improve (up in grade here). Has scope in handicapping terms based on his previous form, not dismissed especially with a decent draw to work with.

Improved a little on the back of a wind op when making handicap/AW debut on return this year but soon regressed in two subsequent outings. Poor over C&D last time (made no impression), looks unlikely to feature in this form, others stronger appeal.

6f nursery winner for Ed Dunlop last year stepping forward from his previous starts to win on handicap debut, didn't appear to have any long-term scope. Returns for 3yo/stable debut having been gelded, handicapper looks in charge from wide draw.

66/1
Lightly-raced maiden who doesn't appear to be progressing having gone backwards from his seasonal reappearance at Thirsk (6f, good/soft) last time. First try at longer trip needs to spark a revival, has a career-low mark to work with.

Forecasts

Dawn Breaking (4/1), How Bizarre (5/1), Serenading (5/1), Kentuckyconnection (6/1), Kayewhykelly (6/1), Red Treble (15/2), Placebo Effect (17/2), Internationaltiger (16/1), Foad (25/1), Brazen Point (66/1), Cool Spirit (125/1)

14:10 Beverley - 17 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not too many of these make much appeal with few looking ahead of their current handicap marks. How Bizarre would prove dangerous if gaining the lead easily as all his wins have been gained from the front but he looks as though he will have company upfront via recent Thirsk winner Dawn Breaking who is the better drawn of the duo. That pair could set the race up for a closer and SERANADING is taken to bounce back to her Yarmouth form which is working out well with this mark well within her capabilities. Red Treble can’t be ignored in a scenario which matches her best efforts with Kayewhykelly another to highlight with her stable in good recent form.
