Half-brother to 2000 Guineas winner Cockney Rebel, and placed in a bumper, but has shown regressive form in three Flat outings. No appeal.

By Dubawi out of Oaks and King George winner Taghrooda. Improved markedly from debut when winning a C&D novice by 4¼L from Coltrane last month. Will do better again, and has outstanding claims here.

Hugely flattered by her proximity on penultimate start at Thirsk, and the fact that she has beaten just one rival in three starts to date is of more significance in weighing up her prospects.

Make Believe half-brother to 6f winner Gazin out of a half-sister to Dewhurst and Lockinge Stakes winner Belardo. Appeals on pedigree, but fitting of headgear for belated debut is a worrying sign.

Not without appeal on pedigree, but sent off at 150/1 for his debut here last month, and offered little after a slow start. Cheekpieces swiftly reached for.

Golden Horn half-brother to top-class Japanese 6f-1m winner Tower of London. Better than the result when an encouraging second of 4 to Wise Glory in a 1¼ maiden at Leicester recently, and sure to improve.

From the family of owner/breeder's Coronation Stakes winner Rebecca Sharp. Started slowly when last of 12 at Yarmouth first time out, and trainer fits blinkers now, which doesn't augur well.

Well held sixth of 11 in a 1½m maiden on the AW at Lingfield on his racecourse debut last month. Readily outpaced there, and may need an even stiffer test to unlock his ability.

Nathaniel half-brother to top-class juvenile filly Pretty Pollyanna. Weakened tamely to be 12th of 13 on Newmarket (1m, soft) debut last October. Should do better, but has a lot to find on the face of it.

Did better than on debut when mid-field at Doncaster (1m2½f) late last month, but seems to be being brought along with handicaps in mind, and others much stronger here.
Yard enjoying a fine time, but this gelding was sent off at 100/1, and showed little on his initial foray over 1m here in December. Entitled to do better, especially as dam was a multiple winner over this trip.

Medika261

40/1
Hinted at ability when ninth of 13 to The Turpinator in a 1m maiden here in October. Much more required now, but she is open to improvement, and has place claims in a race lacking depth.

Forecasts

Almighwar (4/9), Golden Pine (2/1), Nevendon (16/1), Ministerial (20/1), Just The Ticket (33/1), Captain Haddock (40/1), Medika (40/1), Exclaim (80/1), Signal Twenty Nine (80/1), Scudamore (100/1), Stellarista (100/1), Handsome Samson (150/1)

19:15 Kempton - 15 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

One or two of these will do better in the fullness of time, notably Medika and Signal Twenty Nine, but the two who stand out on racecourse evidence are ALMIGHWAR and Golden Pine, and they are taken to fight out the finish, with the first-named capable of conceding weight after an impressive win here on his return.
  1. Almighwar
  2. Golden Pine
  3. Medika
