Took advantage of falling mark to score over slightly shorter here in March, looking like this step up in trip would suit. Up 5lb for that but yard in great form and with no track worries, looks sure to give it a go.
Has a good record at the track and travelled well again when second to Thomas Todd here in March, conceding the winner first run. Slight concern about the trip being a little too far but if fit, should give it a go.
Well backed a couple of times last summer but failed to deliver, and was well below par on final start in August. Not seen since but suspicion is that there's better to come, and a market move for him would make him more interesting.
Winner over slightly shorter at Uttoxeter from a 6lb lower mark but stays this far, and this is a workable mark. Needs the ground to stay good and at the age of 11 has no secrets from anyone, but should run his race.
Winner of five point-to-point races and a hunter chase for this yard but hasn't been seen since winning a 2m4f point-to-point back in May 2018. Tongue tie tried for the first time stepping up in distance.
Model of consistency last year, winning one and in the frame in five other starts but doesn't always find what she looks like she's going to do when push comes to shove. No issue with trip or ground and she'll be thereabouts.
Forecasts
Mistercobar (7/4), Compadre (16/5), Phoenix Rock (10/3), Robin Des People (6/1), Pride Of Parish (10/1), Day Of Roses (18/1)
COMPADRE has a good record at Market Rasen and is the one least likely to be inconvenienced by any further rain. This mark looks workable and he can score again. Mistercobar may have more improvment to come now he steps up in trip and can provide the main danger. The race for the bronze can be won by Phoenix Rock.
