Quality Road colt. Held up on debut and while saying on, was never really on terms when 13L ninth in Cork maiden (1m) five days ago. Quick turnaround and will need significant improvement.

Modest maiden hurdler and regressive in two starts on the flat. Reflected rank outsider status when 45L 10th at Navan (2m, yielding) a week ago and looks out of his depth once more.

Well beaten on first bumper start and followed that with average 15L defeat in 1m Naas maiden six days ago. Profile is very limited and others make more appeal.

Improving sort. Progressed from cracking debut effort when only beaten a head in C&D maiden on latest start. That form arguably sets the standard and holds leading claims.

Slow into stride on both starts but running okay, including when 6L sixth in 5f Sligo maiden eight days ago. Respectable sort but this trip could stretch him.

Bumped into two smart sorts on each start to date but ran respectably in both. No match for Derby winner Serpentine in 1m2f maiden here last time and trip should suit better. Not a rival of his calibre in this so is a contender.

Not the best effort on debut but outran odds when taking fourth - beaten 2L - in C&D maiden at the end of last month. May have more progression to come still so entitled to place claims.

Sent off at 125/1 for debut effort and threatened very little in that when 20L 11th in C&D maiden at the end of last month. Other rivals, including stablemate, have more pressing claims.

Only raced once to date and failed to figure when 10th of 14 at Dundalk (6f) in September. Not entirely sure he is set to stay and faces a stiff contest in this. Gelded last month.

Invincible Spirit colt related to some very smart types. Half-brother to Group 2 winner Time Test and dam was a Group 1 winner as a juvenile. Represents top connections and likely to be strongly fancied on debut.

19,000 gns yearling by Sea The Moon. Half-brother several Flat and jumps winners including 1m1f winner No Explaining and 1m winner Azameera. Connections rarely strike with newcomers however so possibly best watched.

Well beaten in both starts to date, and proved to be no match for Derby winner Serpentine when beaten 37L in 1m2f maiden at this track last time. Still has plenty to find with less significant rivals in this.

Made a promising debut at this venue (1m2f) on debut start and looked to be travelling smoothly before faltering to 4L third at Fairyhouse (1m2f) last time. Dropped to ideal trip however which could see him dangerously placed.

17:15 Curragh - 10 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Previous form from a C&D maiden last month looks like it will come to the fore and preference is for CARRYTHEONE to get off the mark at the third attempt. He was the pick of the form from that race by only being beaten a head and still looks to have more progression in him for a yard who are firing with these sorts this season. Both Finans Bay and Mosala weren't far behind him that day and are expected to confirm that form, while Yulong Magicreef seemingly didn't stay last time over 1m2f and will be far more comfortable at this trip. A note should be made of Natchez Trace, who possesses a regal pedigree and will come on plenty for any effort made in this contest.
  1. Carrytheone
  2. Yulong Magicreef
  3. Finans Bay
