Well beaten in both previous starts; was much the lesser fancied when tried in a hood and finished down the field behind an odds-on favourite/stablemate at Newmarket last month. Hard to recommend this time.

Cost 62,000 gns and is bred to appreciate the trip. Needs to quickly erase a poor effort on debut at Haydock last month but looks the type to improve with age and can go on from here.
Poor form posted in two previous starts and not enough shown to get a recommendation this time. Modest handicaps beckon after this.

Was a clear second to a potentially smart rival here last week, an effort which arguably sets the standard tonight. Has been expensive to follow but looks capable of paying his way and this lacks the intrigue of division one of this race.

Two moderate efforts beside his name in the form book up to press and no obvious excuses for those displays. More needed to be a leading light in tonight's finale.

Another whose previous form is very ordinary and he's yet to justify the £110,000 asking price his connections forked out for him as a two-year-old. Would be a surprise if he were to pull this out of the bag.
A 23,000 gns son of Derby winner Sir Percy out of a dirt-bred US mare. He's a half-brother to a couple of Group placed individuals (7f and 1m) and won't need to be anything special to reach the frame on his racecourse bow.

Out of a 2m winning hurdler, the filly's dam is also is a half-sister to 5f/6f winner Whitecrest, Mister Elegant, and 6f/7f winner Zeffirelli. She made limited appeal on debut and posted a poor effort; no reason to get involved here.

Debut run at Lingfield didn't create much of a buzz and this modestly-bred filly needs an awful lot to go her way here. Does run for an in-form yard but likely modest handicaps will be the later target.

Cost just £3,500, the filly is a the third foal of a half-sister to a couple of middle-distance Group 3 winners and the winner of a 7f Listed race in Italy. Another that makes limited appeal for a punt on her racecourse debut.

20:45 Windsor - 6 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Much the weaker of the two divisions of this race can go to HOT SUMMER, who despite being held four times already, is far and away the form selection in a moderate contest. El Ray could be a spanner in the works and the booking of Ryan Moore is more than enough to suggest a big run is expected from Kevin Ryan's debutante. Support in the betting ring would be dangerous to ignore. Noble Masquerade also appeals on pedigree and is another to bear in mind, while Dark Spectre can only step up from his racecourse bow and could be good value to make the frame at least.
  1. Hot Summer
  2. El Ray
  3. Dark Spectre
