BROUGHTONS GOLD has gone up 7lb for his stylish win at Newbury, but he will keep improving and is worthy of plenty of respect, with Esprit Rose another for the shortlist after winning with a bit to spare at Leicester on her return. Noddyolder is hard to weigh up after just two runs, but he was better than the result at Thirsk on the latter, and the handicapper has not been harsh at all.
