By Elzaam. Gelded ahead of his debut and cost just €3,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to 5f AW winner Ty Rock Brandy. Yard not renowned for having winning newcomers but he could have a say in an open race, especially with talented jockey onboard.

Didn't run as well as her finishing position may suggest when well-beaten into sixth at Roscommon (7f; good to firm) on debut. Is one of a number in this contest dropping in trip to 5f, but likely to suit others more than her.

By Zebedee and cost just €800 as a foal. Is a half-sister to 5f-6f winner Indian Ballad. This isn't an overly hot race either, so perhaps she can get involved. Market check strongly advised with this one.

Two standout efforts last season came on ground with give in it, so she may have had excuses when posting a below-par seasonal reappearance at Leopardstown (7f; good). Related to 5f winners, so drop in trip should pose no problems.

Showed nothing in two starts last season, finishing last on each occasion at Down Royal (5f; good) & Naas (7f; good). Can't be taken seriously on that evidence, and she is subsequently best watched.

Took a notable step forward on seasonal return to action when third at Naas (6f; good to yielding) last week. Is dropped to the minimum trip for the first time, but her dam was a 5f winner and is closely related to useful 5f winner Gallery Girl.

Well-beaten on debut at Naas (6f; good to yileding) when 14th of 18. Was always towards the rear and could never get involved, so is not one to invest any sort of faith in until she displays vastly more encouragement.

10/3
Outran her odds (200-1) on comeback when runner-up at Tipperary (7f; yielding). That was a marked improvement on her two efforts last year. Drops in trip to 5f for the first time but definite claims if able to back up previous effort.

Forecasts

Gulf Of Aidan (1/1), Call Of The Jungle (2/1), Lough Swilly Pearl (10/3), Adams Barbour (16/1), Ahyoka (25/1), Howdoyathinkifeel (25/1), Kourvoisier (80/1), Feelfreetojumpin (125/1)

16:10 Sligo - 2 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

An open looking contest to start proceedings with both newcomers Ahyoka and Adams Barbour of interest on paper and more so if the market speaks in their favour. Call Of The Jungle is worth another chance after producing a lesser effort on her seasonal debut 18 days ago. The drop in trip and promise of softer ground should allow her to post an improved showing. This looks set to be fought out between Gulf Of Aidan & LOUGH SWILLY PEARL. The pair stepped up hugely on their previous showings when making their seasonal reappearances recently. The latter is narrowly preferred given she showed slightly more improvement, and will be tough to beat if doing so again.
  1. Lough Swilly Pearl
  2. Gulf Of Aidan
  3. Call Of The Jungle
