Probably found 7f just beyond him when last spotted at Wolverhampton in February; best AW form is over this trip but does need to prove himself as effective on turf.

French import shaped with plenty promise on stable bow at Chelmsford (7f, AW) a fortnight ago despite odds 22-1; only being beaten ¾L. Good chance if building on that here.

Filly hasn't shaped like a winner in waiting in four outings; this month's handicap bow at Yarmouth (7f, good) amongst them. Needs to find plenty more to get in the thick of it down in trip.

Swiss Spirit filly was a 40-1 chance and ran accordingly on handicap bow at Thirsk (7f, good to soft) a fortnight ago; remains early days but not progressing since a promising debut at Newcastle in September.

Four-race maiden, offered some encouragement on handicap bow at Windsor (6f, good) a fortnight ago (fifth, 25-1) and can be competitive in this line-up.

Has offered very little in four starts to date, latest being a handicap bow at Newcastle (7f, AW) in March. First-time blinkers on and much to work on currently.

There was plenty promise in her debut run at Newcastle (6f, AW) in February where she was a close-up fifth of seven but has failed to build on that in three starts since; including recent turf bow at Thirsk. Hard to summon enthusiasm.

Has shown some speed in three runs but not seeing races out so far; makes handicap debut from a lowly perch as such and improvement isn't ruled out.

Much-improved on first start after joining this yard from Gordon Elliott; finishing close-up fourth at Chepstow (5f, good) 15 days ago; will have strong claims here if building on that now.

Yet to display many positives in six starts; including this month at Yarmouth (6f, good to firm) on return from 219 days off. Looks to be up against it on evidence available.

SOME NIGHTMARE and Giant Steps both shaped encouragingly on their respective first starts on British soil at Chepstow and Chelmsford this month and preference is for John O'Shea's colt. He made his way home strongly after a tardy start and looks likely to appreciate this extra furlong. The booking of Adam Kirby to ride the latter is, however, a positive in his favour. Gherkin might be one to find a place.
