Likely to be popular after escaping a 3lb rise to run off the same mark as he did when a neck-second at Thirsk (5f; good) last week. That was a clear improvement on his reappearance run so he should go close if stepping forward again.

Runner-up over C&D off this mark in August when the front pair drew six-length clear of the third. Needs to step up on bare form of final 2019 start though, and yard are 0-14 in the last two weeks.

Won at this track on two separate occasions in the past but her comeback defeat at Kempton (5f; standard to slow) when sixth of eight was concerning considering she normally goes well fresh. Still 2lb above last winning mark & others are preferred.

Ended long losing run when winning at Kempton (6f; standard to slow) last Saturday. Turned out quickly again and could still be well handicapped judged on 2018 form so foolish to dismiss him. Definitely on the shortlist.

Made some late headway on return to action at Lingfield (5f; standard to slow) but pulled his chance away in the early stages of the race. Previous C&D winning form to his name. Could get involved if settling better this time round off reduced mark.

Continues to look way out of his depth since arriving on these shores and failed to beat a single one of his 13 rivals at Chepstow (6f; good to soft) last week. Been dropped 4lb since but is impossible to make a case for.

Makes seasonal debut and has a poor record when fresh. Must be respected at this track though, and he is 6lb below the mark he won off when last tasting success over C&D in May 2019. May be vulnerable for win purposes, but does have place claims.

17:10 Bath - 25 June 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This race looks a good opportunity for INDIAN SOUNDS to regain the winning thread after he went close at Thirsk just nine days ago. He runs off the same mark now and has only had a couple of starts at this trip so there should be plenty more to come. His biggest danger is the similarly in-form Bernie's Boy who is also turned out quickly after ending a two year dry spell to win at Kempton over a slightly shorter trip five days ago. If able to settle better in the early stages it would be no surprise to see Essaka finish in the money considering he looked an eyecatcher in the very late stages of his reappearance run when staying on.

  2. Bernie's Boy
