Gelding by Dark Angel out of a Spinning Worl mare. Closely related to Complimentor, winner at up to 1m. Market likely to reveal expectations for connections on debut.

Kodiac gelding. Full-brother to useful 5f-7f winner Human Nature and 5f winner Sunny Kodiac. Well held 13L on disappointing debut at Navan in October. More needed.

Footstepsinthesand gelding out of a Haatef mare. Cost €38,000 as a yearling. Closely related to Mr Wagyu, winner over 6f. Dam won between 6f and 1m as a two-year-old. Newcomers from this yard capable of hitting the frame.

Elzaam gelding cost connections €14,000 at the sales last autumn. Nearer last than first on second career start in a Roscommon 1m2f maiden on good to firm ground on Monday. Hard to place any faith in.

Cheaply bought 10,000 guineas Gleneagles colt out of dam who won at 7f and 1m. Sixth of nine on debut at Newmarket over 7f on sole start for trainer Ed Dunlop. Plenty more needed in this company.

Five-race maiden who has run well in defeat in all three of his starts on turf. Last seen at Tipperary in August. More likely than some to run his race.

Cappella Sansevero colt out of a Dutch Art mare. Midfield finishes in a pair of maidens last autumn does not read like the form of a likely winner of this contest.

Colt by Free Eagle out of a Dubawi mare. Hasn't looked a winner in waiting on both career starts so far including on latest start at Leopardstown last week.

War Front colt by a dam who was a Group Three winner as a juvenile but found out at the highest level. Cost 220,000gns as a yearling. Very interesting challenger on debut for yard who have registered two winners from 14 starters since racing resumed

Footstepsinthesand gelding out of a Kingmambo mare. Closely related to seven-time winner Sonnetation victorious at 1m and 1m1½f. Form in two starts in October/November last year doesn't warrant support here.

9/4
Full brother to the very smart Lancaster Bomber and showed some signs of promise when second in 6f Listowel maiden on his third start before disappointing again at Naas over 6f when last seen in September. First time blinkers likely to assist.

Forecasts

Stalingrad (7/4), War Leader (9/4), Lake Sand (7/2), Principalship (11/1), Grey Streak (18/1), Sansevero Chapel (20/1), Plunkett (20/1), Soaring Monarch (50/1), Sydney Blues (100/1), Kodiac Prince (100/1), Na Caith Tobac (150/1)

16:55 Limerick - 17 June 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The fitting of first time blinkers could be the key to WAR LEADER getting off the mark at the fifth time of asking for connections. The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt by War Front can add to the trainers winners in Ireland since racing resumed (13 winners from 71 starters, up to Monday 15th) at the expense of a couple of newcomers in the shape of the Michael O'Callaghan-trained Lake Sand and Stalingrad for the Fozzy Stack yard.
  1. War Leader
  2. Lake Sand
  3. Stalingrad
