Age: 6|  Weight: 9-4| J: Jim Crowley| T: C Hills| OR:  126| D
5/6
High class sprinter who has put up some big performances in recent years, as seen when breaking the track record in last year's Nunthorpe. Runner-up in the last two renewals of this and there's no Blue Point to thwart him this time; hard to beat.

Beaten odds on favourite in a Group 2 at Meydan when last seen; talented sort and a stiff 5f is probably his ideal trip but he needs a career best if he's to get anywhere near his stablemate.

Has plenty of early speed and he won a Group 3 at Dundalk last year but has struggled when upped in class previously and this is his toughest test yet; stiff 5f not ideal for him either.

Progressive sort on AW last year but that was in handicap company and that's a world away from the level he takes on here.

Looked a little unlucky when third in the Coventry Stakes in 2018 but he's struggled when tried at the top level since and looks up against it here.

C&D winner in handicap company last year and usually runs his race at this venue but his fourth in Listed class here in October probably sums up his ability as far as sprinting at the very top level is concerned.

Returned to form when beaten less than 2L in Group 3 company on return and looked like a promising sprinter as a juvenile (only seen twice as 3yo). Has a fitness edge over some of these and may be capable of better at some point; each-way claims.

Highly progressive as a three-year-old and signed off the campaign with a 3L win in the Prix De L'Abbaye. That's top class form and she's the obvious threat to Battaash, particularly if she has progressed from three to four.

Won the Scurry and the Charge (Listed and Group 3) at Sandown last year and while she missed the rest of the campaign, she retains plenty of potential; tough ask on return from 346 days off but yard do well with their sprinters.

Only beaten a head in the C&D Queen Mary in 2018 and won a Listed race at Maisons-Laffitte last year. Only narrowly denied by Glass Slippers later in the campaign in Group 3 class and not at her best on return 10 days ago; still has potential.

Liberty Beach9
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-9| J: Jason Hart| T: J & S Quinn| OR:  105| D
4/1
Progressive filly at two, winning five of her six starts and ran well when fourth in the Queen Mary. Impressive at Haydock on return nine days ago and a drop back to a stiff 5f looks ideal; each-way chance for a yard that excel with sprinters.

Forecasts

Battaash (5/6), Liberty Beach (4/1), Glass Slippers (13/2), Equilateral (9/1), Sergei Prokofiev (28/1), Tis Marvellous (33/1), Kurious (33/1), Well Done Fox (40/1), Hit The Bid (40/1), Shades Of Blue (50/1), Rocket Action (125/1)

BATTAASH looks set to make it third time lucky in this race having only found Godolphin's Blue Point too good in recent seasons. The stiff finish at this venue isn't ideal for him and he's produced his very best on speed tracks such as Goodwood/York but he's still going to be hard to beat with a repeat of his efforts in recent years. Glass Slippers is the obvious danger if she's progressed from three to four having won the Prix De L'Abbaye when last seen in France. It didn't work out for Well Done Fox last year but he might be a different proposition as a four-year-old and he was an exciting sprinter as a juvenile.
