Decent effort in finishing 4L second off a mark of 58 in a handicap over this trip at Bath (firm) last September. Disappointed over this C&D subsequently however and looks up against it on these terms.
Placed in novice company at two and ran well when finishing 1½L fifth in a first time hood (retained) in a 6f AW event on handicap debut at Lingfield earlier this month. Likely to prove hard to beat dropping in trip on his return to maiden company.
Unraced Pivotal colt out of a mare who was successful over 7f. Yard can boast a 16% strike-rate (4/25) in recent weeks and he is one to note on his first racecourse appearance.
Finished a well beaten 12½L eighth when making her debut in a 6f novice contest at Kempton last November. Drops in trip here and is probably best watched on turf debut.
Well held in both starts so far and hung badly left when ninth of ten over this trip at Kempton in early October on her most recent start. Others hold more obvious claims.
Failed to beat a rival home when last of 13 in a 6f novice contest on debut at Chelmsford in November last year. Absent since and interesting to see how she fares dropping in trip on seasonal reappearance.
Forecasts
One Night Stand (8/11), Royal Appointment (9/4), Bluebell Time (10/1), Little Fortune (16/1), Catherine Bay (20/1), Edge Of The Bay (125/1)
ONE NIGHT STAND boasts by far the strongest form of the five to have run to date and he looks capable of getting off the mark dropping in trip in this small field sprint maiden. The well-bred newcomer Royal Appointment is closely related to a number of classy performers and he can claim second spot ahead of Bluebell Time who has placed over this trip in the past.
