14/1
Sea The Stars half-sister to 7f winner Alanannda out of Ballycorus Stakes winner Alanza. Appears yard's second string if riding arrangements are any guide.

Horse silk
8/1
Lope de Vega half-sister to 7½f winner Memyselfandmoi out of a 1½m-2m winner, herself half-sister to useful 1½m winner Danelissima. Yard has an excellent record with newcomers, and she commands respect as a result.

28/1
Kodiac filly out of a well-related 1¾m-1m7f winner. Pedigree a blend of speed and stamina, and jockey bookings suggest she is yard's neglected in this field.

Cloche
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: N G McCullagh| T: J M Oxx
33/1
Helmet half-sister to several winners, including Great Voltigeur Stakes winner Centennial and useful 1¼m winner Siren's Song. Yard's newcomers usually better for a run, but folly to ignore.

Eldama
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: O J Orr| T: D K Weld
2/1
Siyouni half-sister to smart 1m1f-1½m winner Edelmira and useful stayer Elishpour, out of a half-sister to Gold Cup winner Enzeli and Irish Oaks winner Ebadiyla. Looks stable's first string, and appeals on pedigree, so shortlisted.

From a good family, although dam never ran, and this filly's yearling half-brother sold cheaply last summer. Best watched unless market suggests otherwise.

Horse silk
9/2
Full-sister to smart 6f-1¼m winner Laganore, out of an unraced half-sister to Blazing Speed, a multiple G1 winner at up to 1½m in Hong Kong. Looks leading yard's main hope here, and one to take seriously as a result.

Horse silk
66/1
Soldier Hollow half-sister to 2-y-o 1m winner Quian and 1m1f winner Queens Street out of a winning half-sister to Italian/German G1 winner Quijano. Appeals on breeding, but sales price of just 5,000 gns sounds a note of caution.

Mesci
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: M A Gallagher| T: E P Harty
100/1
Exceed And Excel half-sister to 1½m-2m winner Bordoni and smart 1¼m-2m winner Natural Scenery. Pedigree a mix of speed and stamina, and hard to know what her ideal trip should be.

Horse silk
125/1
Gutaifan half-sister to 7f-1¼m winner Mastersote and 1¼m winner Newgirlintown. Apprentice ridden, and makes limited appeal in a race full of untapped talent.

Horse silk
4/1
900,000 gns Galileo half-sister to Grade 1 Florida Derby winner Materiality, and US Grade 2 winner My Miss Sophia (both at 1m1f). Blinkered for debut, which is a slight concern, but striking pedigree makes her one of serious interest.

Horse silk
17/2
By Night of Thunder; closely related to useful 1½m winner Monotype and half-sister to useful winner up to 1m1f Mill Marin. From a small yard, and looks up against it on racecourse bow.

Horse silk
66/1
Toronado half-sister to 1m3½f winner Roman Riches and 1½m winner Dyna Might One of a couple for her trainer, and is likely to need initial experience.

Horse silk
66/1
By Footstepsinthesand out of a fairly useful 6f-1m winner. Yard has a modest win record here, and she will find easier opportunities.

13:55 Leopardstown - 14 June 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The first of a pair of races for 3-y-o newcomers, and therefore a minefield for punters without market clues. Those who make most appeal based on pedigree and sales info are SATIN AND SILK, Eldama and Amiko Chow. The former is superbly bred and cost 900,000 gns, so stands out, for all the fitting of blinkers for debut could be construed as a negative. Eldama is one of two well-bred sorts representing Dermot Weld, and appears the better fancied on paper, while Ger Lyons newcomers rarely lack for know-how, so Amiko Chow ought to be forward despite a rather less regal pedigree.

  2. Eldama
  3. Amiko Chow
