From smart family this trainer knows well. Runner-up on both starts, showing useful form, and a repeat of latest second of 12 to Meraas in a 6f maiden at Kempton would give him strong claims.
US-bred who cost $170,000 as a yearling, and shaped well despite tending to hang in the closing stages when ½L third of 7 to Mum's Tipple in a newcomers' event at Ascot in July. Likely to improve, and one to consider seriously for powerful yard.
Well-bred son of Speightstown who finished eighth of 13 to Ocean Monarch in a maiden at Dundalk on his only start for Dermot Weld. Sold cheaply and gelded since, and best watched here.
Sepoy half-brother to 7f-1¼m winner Thaaqib out of a 1m½f winner. Showed a bit at big odds when 6½L third of 4 to Queen of All at Southwell in February, but not enough to be of much interest in the short term.
Resold for £230,000 as a 2-y-o, this Kingman colt is out of a half-sister to 1¼m-1½m (Trigo Stakes) winner Briolette. Weakened badly after racing too freely in front on debut at Chelmsford, and sure to do much better in time.
Out of a maiden half-sister to Doncaster Cup/British Champions Long Distance Cup winner Sheikhzayedroad. Offered little in two runs for Ed Walker last year, and hooded on debut for new yard now.
Dam was placed in the Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes as a juvenile for James Tate, but this filly failed to beat a rival after starting slowly on her only start for that yard at Kempton a year ago, and was sold fairly cheaply subsequently.
Lemon Drop Kid half-sister to 7f winner Phalaborwa out of a winning half-sister to useful 7f/1m winner Token of Love. May need experience, but yard has an excellent record with 3-y-o's here, so folly to ignore her.
Sir Percy half-sister to 1¼m/1m3f winner Sandy Steve, from family of Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Birdie. Well held in two runs to date, and her future lies in handicaps over further.
By Australia out of Group 3 Summer Stakes winner Theann. Needed the experience when sixth of 8 to Irish Acclaim in a 7f maiden at Kempton in February. Will improve, but may need time and distance to do so.

Thebian and Swan River both cost plenty and are bred to do much better than they did on their respective debuts, but could need more time to fulfil the promise of their breeding. They will do well in any case to cope with either MAN OF PROMISE or Cold Front, both of whom have shown more than enough ability to win a race of this nature. The former was not far off Mum's Tipple at Ascot on his only start, and appeals as having plenty of scope having been given a lengthy break since that debut, while Cold Front has achieved at least as much when runner-up on both of his starts.
