€21,000 yearling (resold for 17,000gns); 13th foal from a 6f juvenile scorer; winning siblings include Gorgongosa (SA 1m-2m, inc Gr2) and Three Decades (6f AW); the Johnston juveniles are flying so far this season.
Equiano filly (15,000gns yearling) from an unraced half-sister to the Racing Post Trophy/St Leger winner Kingston Hill; sister to the 6f winner Ebony N Ivory and a half-sister to three others winners; a reasonably noteworthy candidate.
14,000gns yearling; third foal from a stamina-laden mare (Sugar Hiccup); half-sister to the Spanish 7½f scorer Orzowei; makes greater appeal as the type for further down the line.
Iffraaj filly (11,000gns yearling); fourth foal from an essentially moderate dam (unplaced between 6f & 1m), but is closely related to the French 1m Grp 1 winner Grey Lilas; was declared as a non-runner at Wolverhampton (5.00pm) Tuesday.
Fourth foal (4,000gns yearling) from a half-sister to the Japanese Gr 2 winner Touching Speed (1m1f); her pedigree implies that she's likely to find even this relatively stiff 6f trip plenty sharp enough.
£8,000 yearling; third foal from the tough 5f-6f winner Kodafine (was a half-sister to the useful 7f juvenile scorer Perkunas); trainer is 0-2 with his juveniles this season; worth a cautionary market check in a very winnable contest.

Bonne Vitesse has the benefit of experience which so often counts for plenty at this early stage of the season, while Tequila Tequila is re-routed here from Wolverhampton (declared a non-runner) in what is essentially a very winnable contest. However, with the Mark Johnston juveniles in such fine fettle so far this season, and unless the market implies otherwise, the most logical approach is to stick with the Footstepsinthesand filly DEEP IMPRESSION.
