66/1 for debut over 6f here last week but showed no sign of ability and visor quickly goes on. Has experience over his rivals but surprising if he will be good enough.
32,000 gns foal. Fourth foal and previous three all won at sprint trips so bred to be winning races. Market will be useful with as with any newcomer from this yard.
Second foal of a dam who won three races over 7f and 1m including on debut. Stable know how to ready a newcomer and run three here, with jockey booking making him of interest.
Sales price dropped to just £2,500 as a yearling. Ninth foal and related to two winners from 6f to 1m2f. Cheekpieces on for this debut and yard not associated with winning debutants.
£6,000 foal of dam whose sole win was gained at this trip. Related to winners over much further but sire should inject some speed and interesting to see if the market tells a positive story.
€15,000 foal. Half-brother to two winners from 7f to 1m2f who both scored on debut. Stable flying with their juveniles and with the champion jockey booked and the plum draw, makes plenty of appeal on paper.
Fifth foal of dam who won up to 1m4f. Half-brother to two winners who improved with experience. One of three runners from the yard and high draw not in his favour.
Second foal of dam who won over 1m3f at this track and went on to score over hurdles. High draw not ideal but does make appeal on paper and market should reveal more.
Another of the David Evans trio. €10,000 foal and dam won from 1m to 1m2f. Half-brother to pair of two-year-old winners and low draw a plus so could be one for the short list.
30,000 gns yearling. Second foal of dam who won over 1m4f and half-brother won twice as a juvenile last year for James Bethall over 6 and 7f. The most expensive buy here and one of the more interesting on paper.
First foal of dam who won from 6f to 1m5f and liked this surface. Market may guide as to what is expected.
Forecasts
Night Moment (3/1), Rommel (3/1), Speedful (11/2), Benin (8/1), Garson (8/1), Balavad (17/2), Rwanda Mist (18/1), Study The Stars (25/1), Scalene (28/1), Miami Joy (40/1), Reset Button (66/1), Instrip (66/1)
NIGHT MOMENT seems an obvious starting point from a stable who have made such a bright start and the inside draw and looks the safest option. Speedful and Rwanda Mist are others to offer hope from pedigree and make up the short list in a race where the market will clearly offer some clues.
