Made the perfect start to her career when registering a debut victory in a 7f novice contest at Newcastle in October. Bred to appreciate this step up in distance and she is one for the shortlist for a leading stable.

Unraced daughter of Poet's Voice and a half-sister to Flat winner Lady Rocka. Yard not known for their debut winners and she is likely to improve for the experience.

Unraced home-bred Invincible Spirit filly and a half-sister to a couple of winners including Grade 2-placed Mittershill. Worth a check in the market on her racecourse debut.

Unraced daughter of Declaration Of War purchased for £16,000 at the breeze-up sales in April last year. Half-sister to a number of winners and market support would be notable on debut.

Forecasts

Maria Rosa (5/4), Fooraat (11/8), Magic Sky (12/1), Silent Performance (16/1), Calatrava (20/1), Riviera Belle (28/1), Bound For Heaven (40/1), Feisty Gal (40/1), Kimberley (50/1), Fairy Lachy (66/1), I Do Declare (100/1), Evening Verse (200/1)

14:30 Chelmsford City - 8 June 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

MARIA ROSA can make amends having suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Fooraat when making her debut back in October. The latter carries a 7lb penalty for that victory and may struggle to give that weight away to John Gosden's charge who is well drawn in this contest. Third place can go to Bound For Heaven, the second penalised runner in the field having won on turf at Catterick last autumn.
  1. Maria Rosa
  2. Fooraat
  3. Bound For Heaven
