Stable opened their juvenile account with two debutant winners at Lingfield on Friday (augments their excellent record with 2yo's). 60,000gns foal by Kodiac, first foal, dam unraced, sure to be well prepared and hard to leave out of the equation.
Price increased by 35,000gns from foal to yearling (105,000gns yearling), dam 7f 2yo winner who stayed further. Yard have had the odd useful juvenile but no first-time out winners since 2017, market would need to be positive to spark any interest.
Yard scored with their third 2yo of the year here earlier in the week and more than capable with this age group. Third foal, £68,000 yearling, half-brother to 2yo 7f winner Annie Quickstep, dam 2yo 7f winner, won't be a surprise to see him go well.
Yard have a good record here (9-18 with 2yo newcomers since 2015); yard 0-3 with 2yo this year (all run well). Third foal, dam US Grade 1 winner, likely to be well fancied in the market and could well get the yard rolling with 2yo's this year.
Yard already up and running with juveniles with three winners already. Third foal, closely related to 1m winner Dubaitwentytwenty, dam, maiden (stayed 1m2f); given the quick start with 2yo's not hard to see him playing a part.
Yard usually top class with 2yo's; have failed to fire so far this year (0-8); enthusiasm therefore tempered. 85,000gns yearling, second foal, dam unraced half-sister to a couple of winners; faces some smart rivals from yards that are in better form.
Yard not known for their debutante 2yo winners (3% strike-rate), only cost £8,000 as a yearling. Third foal, dam ungenuine maiden (raced only at 6f), looks to faces a stiff task for her debut, would be a surprise winner.
First 2yo runner of the season for this yard who are not known for their 2yo winners especially first-time out. £20,000 yearling, fourth foal, half-sister to a winner in France over middle distances; may well need some time, makes limited appeal.

Some big stables represented in this juvenile opener with some well known protagonists in the juvenile field represented. John Gosden’s record with 2yo newcomers at this track bears the closest scrutiny (8-16 since 2015) and his Third Kingdom will be one of the main players. Archie Watson can never be ignored with his juveniles and having struck at Lingfield with a 2yo double yesterday CAPTAIN MAGNUM is the choice to improve his record n this sphere even further. Thunder Of Niagara bids to give the Johnston team their 4th juvenile win of the year and can’t be ignored and neither can Rebel At Dawn with the Karl Burke team already on the scoresheet with 2yo’s.
