Travelled well for much of the way on debut at Chelmsford (1m, Polytrack) in November, when not asked too many questions once beaten. Should come on plenty for that promising start and likely to be a big player. Gelded since debut.

Son of Sepoy who has been gelded prior to this debut. Cost £8,000 as a yearling. Eighth foal and a half-brother to three winners from 7½f to 1m7f, the best of them Italian Listed. Probably one to watch first time unless market vibes strong.

100-1 on both starts so far (1m/7f, both here). Did make some improvement on the more recent of those, but looks up against it here and probably one to consider when entering minor handicaps.

10th foal and five of his half-siblings have won over trips from 1m-1m4f. Trainer can have debut winners, and has a 14% strike-rate with its AW 3yos since January 2016. Gelded, but no surprise to see him go well first time.

Half-brother to four winners (sixth foal), so there could be races in him, but he will need massive improvement on his 25L last of 10 here on debut last October. Best watched this time.

Fifth foal. Half-brother to a 6f/7f Fibresand winner, out of a 7f-1m2f winner. Trainer 18% with AW 3yos, so certainly merits a market check ahead of debut.

Tilsit

10/11
First foal of a once-raced sister to 1m2f Group 3 winner Remote, also half-sister to 1m Group 1 winner Kingman. Trainer's best stat of the past five years is with his AW 3yos (16%), and this son of First Defence looks one to consider on debut.

£9,000 yearling. Tenth foal and half-sister to three winners from 7f-1m1f, the best of which was Infiraad. Trainer 13% over five years with AW 3yos. Slight concern that cheekpieces applied for debut, but one to note in the market.

Made modest debut at Kempton (7f) in November. Improved on that when last seen at Chelmsford (1m) in December, but it will be a surprise if she proves good enough in this field.

Didn't live up to her name when 33-1 for both runs at Dundalk in the winter. Since changed hands and looks one to watch on her stable debut with future minor handicaps in mind.

Forecasts

Tilsit (10/11), Al Salt (5/2), Ray's The One (15/2), Chardoneigh (8/1), Dominic's Grey (22/1), Rosa Gold (40/1), Home For Half Past (50/1), She's A Belter (66/1), Spycracker (80/1), Roddy Ransom (150/1)

Without getting carried away, in the context of this field there was a fair bit to like about the debut of AL SALT, who is taken to confirm that promise with a win this time. Tilsit has a nice pedigree and could make his presence felt, while Ray's The One is from a prolific family and could also pick up prize money at the main expense of Chardoneigh.
