Glenduff103
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-9| J: B S Hughes| T: N G Richards
11/4
Made winning hurdles debut 2m4f at Carlisle in early November but then appeared to find heavy ground all against him when well beaten there four weeks later. Rested since and better surface here looks ideal so bold show anticipated.

No Getaway90
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-9| J: William Marshall(7)| T: D Skelton| OR:  126
3/1
Soft ground Hereford scorer in November before struggling to get home over 3m in Cheltenham handicap last time. Back from three-month break with conditional claiming 7lb for yard still among the winners.
3

The Macon Lugnatic22
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-9| J: David Bass| T: B Pauling| CD
15/8
Landed Newbury bumper last January. Pulled up on hurdles bow at Ludlow having run well until sprawling on landing 3 out. Made amends when scoring over C&D last time springing 33/1 shock and better ground should prove no problem.
4
Horse silk
150/1
Hasn't shown much at all in a bumper and novice hurdle for Harry Fry and now makes debut for new connections. Hard to see him getting inolved where it matters most.
5
Horse silk
Bendy Bow75
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: Jack Tudor(5)| T: M Bradstock
33/1
Second of four penultimate start in heavy ground Leicester maiden hurdle but pulled up there last time. Overall profile suggests he has plenty to find with likely market principals.

Irish Odysseyt48
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: R T Dunne| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  120
9/2
Fontwell soft ground bumper winner in 2018. Missed following season but showed fair form when placed first two starts over timber. Clipped heels and unseated rider last time at Huntingdon. May not be far away.
7
Horse silk
Monte Alban23
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: J Kington| T: Justin Landy
150/1
Three-time point winnner but showed little to set the pulse racing when well beaten on Rules bow at Musselburgh last month where finished tailed off. Others make far more appeal.
8
Horse silk
250/1
Very modest maiden at up to 2m on Flat and has done no better in two attempts so far over hurdles, pulling up on each occasion when well behind. Impossible to recommend.
9
Horse silk
San Rumoldo85
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: James Bowen| T: A King
14/1
Won Southwell turf bumper on debut last March but has basically been disappointing in three runs so far over hurdles although did show some pormise on second attempt. Looks type to do better in handicaps but may struggle here.
10
Horse silk
100/1
Hurdles debut for ex-Irish middle-distance handicapper who has first start for new connections. Appears to handle a variety of ground conditions but would be big surprise if good enough at this level after 134-day absence.

Forecasts

The Macon Lugnatic (15/8), Glenduff (11/4), No Getaway (3/1), Irish Odyssey (9/2), San Rumoldo (14/1), Bendy Bow (33/1), Watchman (100/1), Aquila Sky (150/1), Monte Alban (150/1), Rip Van Go (250/1)

13:15 Doncaster - 12 March 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A trappy opener but recent C&D winner THE MACON LUGNATIC gets a narrow verdict. He popped up at 33/1 last time but there appeared no fluke about his win and he has scored on a decent surface in the past. Irish Odyssey may prove a danger and was unlucky when clipping heels and losing his rider last time. On previous form he has decent claims, while both the other winners, Carlisle scorer Glenduff and Hereford winner No Getaway make this an interesting event. Although he represents a top yard San Rumoldo has plenty to find on what he's shown thus far.
  1. The Macon Lugnatic
  2. Irish Odyssey
  3. Glenduff
