Age: 9|  Weight: 12-4| J: Mr James King| T: Mrs L Hill| OR:  119
9/2
Pleasing strike-rate over fences (5-12); bumped into the very well-handicapped Caltex when beaten 22L at Leicester (2m6½f, heavy) three weeks ago; in safe hands with Lawney Hill, yet does face a stiff task on these unfavourable terms.

More Buck'st160
Age: 10|  Weight: 12-4| J: Mr Peter Bryan(3)| T: M Bowen| OR:  127| D
6/1
Formerly a capable handicapper for Peter Bowen, gamely winning the Listed Summer Plate at Market Rasen (2m5½f, good) in July 2018 (beating Too Many Diamonds by ½L); off the track for 160-days, but thought likely to be tuned up and ready to roll.

Red Devil Start27
Age: 10|  Weight: 12-0| J: Mr Zac Baker| T: Miss Emma Richards| OR:  108
28/1
Fairly useful chaser for Suzy Smith many moons ago, winning a Class 3 handicap at Ascot (2m1f, good to soft) in December 2016; recent form figures of PPP are wholly uninspiring; simply can't be entertained on that basis.
5
Horse silk
Tinkers Hill Tommyt679
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-12| J: Miss Anna Lewis(7)| T: Mrs Bridget Lewis| OR:  112
6/1
Prolific pointer (5-12) who also finished runner-up in the prestigious John Corbet Cup at Stratford (3m3½f, good) in June 2017; ran well on all three starts under rules (231) during the spring of 2018; absent since (for 679 days); chance?

Horse silk
Aqua Dude89
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-10| J: Mr Tommie M O'Brien| T: Mrs C Williams| OR:  133
7/2
Talented mudlark (3-13); not seen under rules since pulling-up (dismounted) in the Gr 3 Bet Victor Gold Cup at Cheltenham (2m4½f, soft) in Nov 2017; questionable how much he has too offer having been nursed back to health by Catherine Williams.

Horse silk
Bob Ford35
Age: 13|  Weight: 11-10| J: Mr Adam O'Shea(7)| T: A Ralph| OR:  120| C
4/1
Veteran of 45 races under rules (6-40 over fences); rolled back the years with a decisive 25L success at Uttoxeter (3m, heavy) in November; appreciates plenty of cut underfoot but you wouldn't want to set your clock by him for consistency purposes.
8
Horse silk
Sir Mangan368
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-10| J: Mr Ben Sutton(7)| T: A Hill| OR:  121| C
4/1
Left the care of Dan Skelton for £8,500 in March 2019 (as a 121-rated chaser); returns to action from a 368-day absence for a first crack in a Hunters' Chase; trainer Alan Hill is the husband of Lawney Hill (saddles the top-weight Clondaw Westie).

Forecasts

Aqua Dude (7/2), Sir Mangan (4/1), Bob Ford (4/1), Clondaw Westie (9/2), More Buck's (6/1), Tinkers Hill Tommy (6/1), Too Many Diamonds (12/1), Red Devil Star (28/1)

17:00 Ffos Las - 6 March 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The talented mudlark Aqua Dude returns to action following a lengthy spell on the sidelines, while the prolific pointer Tinkers Hill Tommy is another capable chaser who hasn't seen competitive action for many a moon. Therefore, a cautious approach is advised in analysing this particular race with the market likely to yield some relevant and perhaps telling clues. However, at the time of writing the most obvious candidate would appear to be the 2018 Market Rasen Summer Plate winner MORE BUCK'S who remains in the care of the Bowen family (has been switched from Peter to Mickey).
  1. More Buck's
  2. Tinkers Hill Tommy
  3. Clondaw Westie
