Horse silk
8/1
Moderate sixth of 14 when coming down at the last at Limerick over 2m5f on soft/heavy ground at the end of January. May need a few to falter.
2
Horse silk
7/2
Has posted a couple of solid efforts over hurdles at Fairyhouse and Limerick recently. Appears to have every chance of going close in this contest.

20/1
Eight-race maiden over hurdles. Well held on return to action following a five month lay-off at Leopardstown on Sunday. Hasn't looked a winner in waiting.
4
Horse silk
33/1
Daughter of Mahler. Half-brother to useful Fox Appeal who won second point-to-point start in December. Needs to improve on wretched debut over hurdles at Limerick in January.
5
Horse silk
100/1
By Shantaram out of a Definite Article mare. Last but one on debut in a Cork 2m bumper in January, eventually beaten 99L. Best watched on hurdling debut.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott
10/3
Point -to-point winner made an underwhelming bumper debut at Punchestown on New Year's Eve before failing to complete at Limerick at the end of last month on hurdling debut.
7
Horse silk
50/1
Daughter of Oscar. Promise on her bumper debut but hasn't shown anything in three starts since including on hurdling debut at Punchestown last month tailing off to finish 17th of the 22 runners.
8
Horse silk
5/4
Gold Well mare. Ran with credit despite distance beaten on return to action at Gowran Park last month in a bumper which may have been a sharpener for her hurdling debut here.

40/1
Well beaten on debut in a Limerick bumper in December before a couple of below-par efforts over hurdles in January/February. Needs to take a big step forward to get competitive in this company.
Mahler mare, dam a half-sister to 2m4f/3m hurdle winner What's Up Woody. Not disgraced on debut in a Punchestown maiden hurdle last month but needs to show more sparkle before any faith is placed in her.

Forecasts

Lorvon Pearl (5/4), Immortality (10/3), Coosan Clover (7/2), Arbor Vitae (8/1), Withallduerespect (16/1), Rule Of June (16/1), Darrens Diamond (20/1), Fresh Appeal (33/1), Stowaway Lass (40/1), Inagh's Gift (50/1), Halcyon Dreams (100/1)

15:35 Clonmel - 4 March 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

It's hard to ignore the clear chance of the Willie Mullins-trained LORVON PEARL on hurdling debut. The daughter of Gold Well had what appeared to be a sharpener in a Gowran Park bumper last month finishing a well beaten third of 17 over 2m1f. The J J Hanlon-trained Coosan Clover has been running with plenty of credit in a couple of starts in January and can give a good account again along with Immortality for trainer Gordon Elliott and top weight Arbor Vitae.
  1. Lorvon Pearl
  2. Coosan Clover
  3. Arbor Vitae
