Bought for £66,000 after finishing second on debut in Irish point. mMproved for first start under Rules when winning well in heavy ground at Lingfield 2m last time. Up in trip and carries his penalty so needs to take another step forward to score.

Shantou gelding who hasn't shone in four starts so far for in-form yard and was well beaten over 2m at Ludlow last time. Steps up in distance but hard to see him breaking his duck here.
Haafhd gelding out of unraced Shantou mare. Showed very little on racecourse bow when distant last of ten in Exeter bumper on New Year's Day. Very hard to enthuse over on hurdles bow.
Ex-French gelding who won 3-10 on Flat at up to 1m4f. Goes on soft ground. Shaped as though run would do him good when weakening from 3 out on hurdles bow at Newbury recently after eight-month break. Interesting and open to improvement .

Gary Moore sets a poser saddling both Black Gerry and QUIANA< with marginal preference for the latter who didn't do at all badly until getting tired at Newbury earlier this month on his British debut and was a three-time Flat winner in France. He may surprise his higher profile stable companion. Penalised Black Gerry did little wrong when winning well in the mud at Lingfield and rates a danger, as too does Aintree winner Notre Pari who is a proven stayer and was running a good race when coming down at the last in the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton last time.
