Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: M P Walsh| T: J R Barry
28/1
Useful 94-rated dual Flat winner made a taking hurdling debut when finishing second of 10 beaten 3¾L at Killarney over 2m4f following a 628-day break but has floundered twice since and caution advised presently.
2
Horse silk
100/1
Tailed off on first two starts prior to finishing pulled up at Down Royal last time out; hard to make any sort of case for.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: C D Timmons(3)| T: E Cawley
100/1
Well beaten on the three completed hurdles events he has contested though slight improvement latest here in January; difficult to see him getting really competitive but is open to improvement.

100/1
Whitmore's Conn gelding, dam a half-sister to two winners. Beaten a long way in sole point-to-point start back in 2018 and likely best watched on Rules debut.
Pulled up in only two point-to-point outings in March and November last year; related to some useful National Hunt types; hard to see him being good enough here though worth a check in the betting ring.

25/1
Gelding by Flemensfirth out of an Oscar mare; cost €38,000 as a three-year-old; fair effort on racecourse debut at this venue in December but failed to build on that latest at Fairyhouse in January; open to improvement but something to prove.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: P T Enright| T: A J Martin
25/1
Seems to be slowly getting the hang of things with latest two efforts being of a decent standard; best effort came when third last time out at Naas and with scope for progression is one for the shortlist.
8
Horse silk
5/1
Relatively experienced bumper performer who rarely runs a bad race; if he can translate that consistency and level of form to hurdles then the five-year-old merits plenty of respect on hurdles debut.

Joshua Webb46
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: D F O'Regan| T: N Meade| CD
15/8
Improved markedly on debut run when winning a bumper in November, and almost repeated that feat over hurdles, beaten narrowly at this track in January; decent effort last time at Fairyhouse and one to bear in mind.
10
Horse silk
11/8
Translated some useful bumper form to hurdling when a decent runner-up at Leopardstown in December; although never looking like the winner that day, he should be fitter and sharper here and looks one of the likely market leaders.
11
Horse silk
33/1
Jumped much better to finish runner-up on his latest point-to-point outing in December having struggled on his debut earlier in the year; interesting contender with a market check advised.
12
Horse silk
100/1
Sent back to bumpers after jumping poorly on hurdles debut on his penultimate start over course and distance; open to improvement but hard to see him being good enough based on all known form.
13
Horse silk
50/1
Well beaten and no impression in a couple of career efforts over timber at Naas in December before a 30L defeat at Fairyhouse last month; looks vulnerable even in this company.

Sunday A Parist71
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott
10/1
11-race maiden, nine defeats coming over the larger obstacles in France; showed little on hurdles debut over course and distance on latest appearance in December; respected from powerful stable but hard to make a strong case for.
15
Horse silk
66/1
First reported foal; related to chase and hurdles winners over longer trip and suspicion is this two mile trip will not play to his possible strengths though always worth a peek in the market.
Talented sort on the level (rated 94) but finished well beaten on hurdles bow at Fairyhouse finishing 23 of 25; had slight excuse that day (bumped early on) and it will be interesting to see the level of market support.
17
Horse silk
66/1
Improved with every outing in point-to-points, winning on her latest appearance in October; excellent chance if bringing that ability to hurdles and looks one of the more interesting contenders.

Horse silk
Classy Diva19
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: A W Short(3)| T: S Crawley
100/1
Daughter of Kalanisi out of a Alflora mare; finished stone last on debut at Down Royal in January; quick reappearance bodes well but hard to see her getting competitive on that evidence.
19
Horse silk
100/1
Full-sister to fairly useful jumper Niven, and related to other jumps winners, so not without interest but was majorly disappointing on both racecourse appearances to date and hard to recommend.
20
Horse silk
100/1
Nicely bred mare related to some useful National Hunt performers; never a factor on only racecourse appearance at Punchestown in January; entitled to improve but will need to considerably to play a role.
Cheaply bought as a three-year-old and while she is related to some fair National Hunt performers, it is difficult to see her being competitive over this two mile trip on debut given she is bred to stay further.

13:20 Navan - 16 February 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

JUNGLE JUNCTION made a seamless progression to hurdling after some competent bumper performances when runner-up at Leopardstown on his debut in December. If progressing from that outing then he may take all the beating against what looks like a weak line-up in opposition. Bumper winner Joshua Webb is another who ran well on his hurdles debut and there is no reason why he can't improve again and give the selection most to do. Experienced bumper performer Hollow Sound rarely lets down connections and looks an interesting recruit to hurdling. Should he jump well then he can use his racecourse experience to good effect.
