Cost £65,000 after winning an Irish point-to-point and quickly repaid a fraction of tat cost with a debut bumper win at Southwell. Built on that debut promise despite not winning when given plenty to do in a Listed Cheltenham bumper; one to note.

50/1
Winning Irish point-to-pointer who was lightly-raced in that sphere prior to showing some ability on his bumper debut. Stayed on well to be second at Ludlow looking as though a more galloping track would suit; still has a bit to prove.

2/1
Well bred sort who coasted home on his debut at Ayr in testing conditions wining in the style of a useful performer. Didn't have much to beat but is clearly going to come on for that run and looks a leading prospect in this.

Made an encouraging start to life in bumpers having already won a point-to-point on his previous start. Showed improved form (first-time tongue-tie) when having the run of the race but forging clear at Chepstow; stays well.
One of two that run for the yard he shaped with encouragement on his bumper debut at Exeter when not seen to maximum effect. Still looked rather inexperienced and should be more clued up here, one of the lesser lights though.

Finished second to the useful Ask A Honey Bee (unbeaten in two races since) on her debut at Southwell before building on that promise last time. Won in good style by 9L at Warwick; another one who can't be ignored.

Under a fully-fledged rider for the first time he showed improved form to score at Cheltenham on New Year's Day in a 4yo Listed bumper. Had the run of the race and although the form has been franked he may well have been flattered.

First run for this yard having been a promising third on his sole French bumper start. Cost €65,000 so wasn't a cheap purchase, hard to weigh up his form in context and the market may provide the best clues as to his expectations.

Has form that ties in closely with Audacity having beaten him when scoring at Huntingdon (1m5f) and was only a neck behind him in their latest meeting at Cheltenham. Better off at the weights now with his old rival he ought to be competitive.

16:45 Newbury - 8 February 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

An interesting bumper to end the card and one that has ben won by some useful types in the past. Tom Lacey’s ADRIMEL is given the vote in a race where plenty could improve further but he was visually impressive when bolting up at Uttoxeter on his debut. The wonderfully named Champagnesuperover is another who caught the eye on his debut at Ayr and with his yard going well he’s very much a danger. Wilde About Oscar is another who romped home last time and his debut form looks particularly strong. Brief Ambition looked a little unfortunate last time and he’s another to be considered along with Ocean Wind and Audacity who have form together.
  1. Adrimel
  2. Champagnesuperover
  3. Wilde About Oscar
