1
Horse silk
25/1
Newcomer, cost €42,000 as a 3yo, half brother to fairly useful hurdler chaser Reigning Supreme. Yard 4-26 with bumper newcomers since 2015, worth watching in the market.
2
Horse silk
9/2
Half-brother to 4 winners, including useful hurdler Skorcher who made a positive start to his career in a Warwick bumper. Sent off favourite on that occasion he didn't quite live up to market expectations but showed plenty to work on.
3
Horse silk
Es Perfecto61
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: A King
5/1
Irish point-to-point winner on his third start from a yard that do well in bumpers and are 21-106 with newcomers since 2015. Has a decent pedigree and makes plenty of appeal on his debut.
4
Horse silk
Fern Hill
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: C Gethings| T: B I Case
66/1
One of several debutantes in this field who cost €23,000 as a 3yo. Half-brother to three winners including the useful Flow Away. Yard not noted for their debut bumper winners going 3-34 since 2015; others make more appeal.
5
Horse silk
13/2
Cost €120,000 as a 3yo by Shantou. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Eyes of A Tiger; dam bumper/2½m hurdle winner. Yard capable of producing a bumper winner first time out; much respected.
6
Horse silk
Lord Baddesley107
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: Tom Cannon| T: C Gordon
10/3
Neglected in the market on his debut surprisingly with his yard doing well in this sphere during 2019 at Warwick last October. Travelled well and with the form working out well he looks set to produce another bold bid.
7
Horse silk
Troed Y Parc76
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: J E Moore| T: J D Frost
100/1
100-1 on his bumper debut at Ascot late last year having been fourth in his only point-to-point. Made very little impact last time and its hard to see him doing any better here with some decent quality rivals in opposition.
8
Horse silk
5/2
Looked in need of the run both in terms of fitness and experience despite starting 6-4 favourite on his Wincanton debut. Shaped better than the bare result in the end (not knocked about); sure to progress from his debut.
9
Horse silk
12/1
Fleminsfirth gelding who cost £60,000 as a 3yo. Half-brother to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Mahler's Promise. From a top yard but one they are only 6-81 with newcomers since 2015 and this interesting sort is best watched.

Forecasts

Duc De Bourbon (5/2), Lord Baddesley (10/3), Diamond River (9/2), Es Perfecto (5/1), Hoi Polloi (13/2), Seymour Promise (12/1), Coral Lad (25/1), Fern Hill (66/1), Troed Y Parc (100/1)

16:00 Kempton - 7 February 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Division one of the bumper and it includes three who ran eye-catching and promising races on their debuts with all expected to come on for the run. Lord Baddesley was unfancied on his debut but ran a fine race to belie his odds in a race that has worked out well. Diamond River from the powerful Henderson stable showed plenty to work on from his debut and he’s expected to improve. DUC DE BOURBON is the suggestion given his debut at Wincanton where it was obvious the experience was needed and he’ll also strip fitter this time. Of the newcomers Hoi Polloi makes most appeal of the newcomers and he could be the one to provide an upset if there is to be one.
  1. Duc De Bourbon
  2. Diamond River
  3. Lord Baddesley
