From an excellent family, but sold very cheaply as a yearling, and offered nothing on sole start for Ali Stronge at Kempton last year. Well beaten on yard debut over C&D last week and unlikely to make much impact until handicapping.
Universal filly that was a very cheap purchase at just 800 gns. Half-sister to Razin' Hell who's at his best on Fibresand as was her dam. Beaten a long way on both starts here (1m) in 2018 and best watched after a long absence on stable debut.
22,000 gns yearling; sixth foal; related to four winners; Viviante (1m), Smugglers Creek (7f), Sapphirine (1m) and Cosquillas (7f). Dam 6f juvenile winner and Listed-placed. Top yard do have winning newcomers but generally come on for the run.
Very expensive yearling at $975,000. Half-brother to four winners including Prime Attraction (1m1f/Grade 3) and Kathy's Song (1m½f). Leading trainer in flying form (5/13 in 2020) and plenty of winning newcomers - strong contender.
£16,000 yearling; half-brother to winners Mutaayyid (7f/1m), Minnelli (1m3½f) & Ballad Singer (1m2f). Stable ticking over quietly this year (1-5) and get occasional winning newcomers. Betting will mostly likely guide.
190,000 gns yearling; half-brother to 6f-1m winner Rufus King; dam 1m AW winner and Listed-placed in Germany. Beaten 10½L on C&D debut four weeks ago, shaping with a little promise. Can build on that but may need more time.
Three very similar perfomances to date at Kempton twice (1m) and Wolverhampton (1m4f) last time. Doesn't seem to be improving but sets a fair standard and has place claims.
Forecasts
Papa Power (5/4), Express Route (2/1), Pyramid Place (7/1), Harmonious (8/1), Antonine Road (8/1), Good Ole Winnie (50/1), Hideaway (100/1)
It's hard to look away from the flying form of the Appleby yard, particularly given their outstanding record in these types of races during the AW season, and so EXPRESS ROUTE is the selection to make a winning debut. Papa Power shaped with a little promise on debut and may well improve with SDS taking over whilst Antonine Road wouldn't have to be a world-beater to get involved.
