Horse silk
Mackenberg54
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr| D
9/2
Sole winner in the line-up. May be good enough to concede the weight all round, given how he made a deeply impressive winning debut under rules in a Carlisle (2m1f; soft) bumper in December.
2
Horse silk
Drenagh33
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: Alex Edwards(5)| T: A Ralph
25/1
Kalanisi gelding who made €19,000 as a three-year-old. Looks vulnerable on paper to speedier types on what is his rules debut, given all his form has come in point-to-points on slower ground.
3
Horse silk
Faivoir76
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: Bridget Andrews| T: D Skelton
7/4
Strong form on only start under rules to date when runner-up in a bumper to one who has gone onto frank the form over hurdles. Yard hold a 23% strike-rate at the track. Major player.
4
Horse silk
Getabay42
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: D A Jacob| T: G Elliott| BF
6/4
Sole runner on the card for Gordon Elliott who boasts an eye-catching 29% strike-rate at this course (4-14). Has to be taken seriously after his recent second at Limerick (2m; heavy) last time out.
5
Horse silk
25/1
By Passing Glance and is a half-brother to same connections' 2m hurdle winner Mix Of Clover. Dam a half-sister to bumper/talented 2m chase winner Wilde Pastures. Interesting to see what the market makes of him on debut.
6
Horse silk
12/1
Failed to build upon promising debut effort, when tailed-off in an AW bumper next time out at Lingfield (2m; good to soft). May have had excuses with the surface, so the return to grass looks the right to move. Bit to prove.
7
Horse silk
Jovial Spirit92
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: David Bass| T: B Pauling
20/1
May well be capable of much better than he showed on rules debut when a distant 13th of 13 in a bumper at Newbury (2m; good to soft) in November. Current stable form is off-putting though.
8
Horse silk
12/1
One of the more experienced runners. Beaten a long way into fourth on seasonal return at Uttoxeter (2m; heavy). Likely to fare more competitively once sent jumping, and he is subsequently best watched.
11
Horse silk
Beeandbee13
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: J Mackie
66/1
Looks set to play another minor role if the form of her rules debut in a mares' bumper at Doncaster (2m; good to soft) is anything to go by. This is a stronger contest on paper.
Tailed-off on rules debut in a bumper at Ludlow (1m6f; soft) when 100-1. Best watched for yard who haven't had a winner in 650 days (53 runners in that time).

16:50 Bangor-on-Dee - 7 February 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A quality bumper to round off the card with preference for GETABAY. It is interesting that Gordon Elliot decides to send this son of Getaway to a track he holds an impressive strike-rate (4-14) at as his only runner on the card. He showed improvement from his debut effort to find just one too good last time out, and he can make it third time lucky. The biggest threat to the selection is Mackenberg who must give away 7lbs all round after he got off the mark in ready fashion when scoring at the first time of asking on his rules/bumper debut a couple of months ago. After the form of the race Faivoir ran in on debut has been franked, he should also be thereabouts.
  1. Getabay
  2. Mackenberg
  3. Faivoir
