Home bred Bollin Eric mare who was always behind in finishing 14th of 16 on debut at Exeter six weeks ago. Will need more time.
Malinas mare whose dame stayed well and won hurdle over 2m6f. Showed promise on debut when modest third of 12 in Ffos Las bumper in November. Given time to get over that and not out of this if she has come on since then.

Yard quiet of late. Made favourite on Wincanton debut in seven-runner bumper in May, eventually finishing close third. Had wind surgery and wears first-time hood on first start since but ground conditions very different to her previous run.

33/1
So You Think mare who showed some ability in three starts for Steve Gollings in 2018. Returns from long absence and makes debut for new connections. Worth a market check for any signs of confidence.

€42,000 Mahler mare, full-sister to useful hurdler/chaser Chris's Dream. Showed plenty of promise when third on debut in heavy ground at Hereford last month and will have learned plenty. One for the short list.

200/1
€2,000 purchase by Jammaal, dam placed only start in point-to-point. Well beaten both starts so far and looks set to struggle again in this company.
Yeats mare whose unraced dam is related to a couple of useful performers. Hinted at ability on both starts to far when not disgraced at Fontwell and Plumpton, and a further step forward here is not out of the question.

£68,000 Presenting mare whose dam has a very good jumpers in her family tree. Makes debut for top yard following wind surgery and every chance she'll be ready to give a good account of herself.
9
Horse silk
66/1
Daughter of Arvico who made very little impression in a point-to-point in March last year for previous handler. Debut for new connections but will find this tough on evidence of previous effort between the flags.

New Clareh1
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: T J O'Brien| T: R Stephens
28/1
Arcadio mare who is half-sister to two winning hurdlers at up to 2m4f. Yard gone three months without a winner so likely she'll be better for this debut experience.
11
Horse silk
66/1
Daughter of Irish Derby winner Frozen Fire, out of dam who won over 7f on Flat and at 3m over hurdles. Yard's debutants usually improve for the outing so others make more appeal on this occasion.
12
Horse silk
16/1
Universal mare with plenty of winners on dam's side of the pedigree. Made promising start at Hereford last month when stayed on steadily final 3f to b fourth of 14 in heavy ground. Should be more streetwise now and is worthy of consideration.

Yard in good form of late. Good second on 1m6f debut in Warwick bumper in November and probably found drop back to 1m4f against her when staying-on second at Newbury last motnh. Up in trip but has strong claims if she stays.
14
Horse silk
40/1
Shirocco filly who was not disgraced on her racecourse bow at Newbury last month over 1m4f, where raced in touch until weakening final 3f. Longer trip will help and should have more behind her than in front at the line.

Forecasts

Coquelicot (1/2), Kilmington Rose (6/1), Graces Order (6/1), Jungle Prose (14/1), Sound Of Music (16/1), Doyannie (20/1), Crossfirehurricane (20/1), New Clare (28/1), Especially So (33/1), Mossy Glen (40/1), Midnight Annie (66/1), Sakandi (66/1), Ivy's Shadow (200/1), Bollin Cascade (200/1)

16:25 Taunton - 18 January 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Quite a few unknown quantities here but COQUELICOT and Graces Orders looks strongest on form shown so far. Preference is marginally for the former who appeared unsuited by the drop in trip last time but came home well and will appreciate this stiffer test. Graces Orders will have pleased connections with her third in heavy ground at Hereford and looks a danger with that experience to draw on. Kilmington Rose represents the champion trainer and has to be respected on debut, while Sound Of Music has already shown ability, along with Crossfirehurricane who is another to consider.
  1. Coquelicot
