Had three of his four starts here with third placed finishes in 6f and 7f novices latest. Handicap debut today off top weight but market support would be notable in ordinary event.

1-15 record and over a year since he last made the frame. Dismal efforts here last three times make him hard to fancy.

Inconsistent filly popped up at 10/1 at Wolverhampton two starts back before flopping at Newcastle. Only ran once here and quite ordinarily but sort you can't ever rule out or strongly fancy.

Five-time AW winner ran a sound race over 7f latest when third at Wolverhampton having led 1f out before tiring. Better still over 6f and ran well here in only previous visit so rates a leading player today.

Wolverhampton novice winner 12 months ago but not made the frame or even got close to doing in eight starts for this yard. Tongue-tie and change of surface tried but hard to be confident.

Long standing maiden ran a career best here in November finishing third at 66/1. Fourth here next another credible effort before flopping at Wolverhampton latest. Each-way squeak here.

Poor strike rate but ran really well here latest when going down by just a neck in a very similar C&D handicap to this. Leading claims on the back of such an effort with handicap unchanged.

5f turf winner stayed on well to be third here over the same trip penultimately. Lesser effort since over 7f at Lingfield but 6f on this surface may be ideal and she isn't by any means ruled out here.

18 months passed since the veteran's 11th and most recent career score. Midfield efforts at the course of late suggest he will struggle to get involved once again.

12:25 Southwell - 13 January 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Having led 1f out at Wolverhampton latest BERNIE'S BOY visibly ran out of steam when third over 7f. Stepping back to 6f today at a course where he finished second in his only previous visit he looks the one to beat. Recent C&D second Le Manege Enchante isn't entirely consistent but a repeat of the aforementioned effort will see him go very close again. Handicap debutant Six Til Twelve has found a weak enough race to start off and he is expected to at the very least be competitive.
  1. Bernie's Boy
  2. Le Manege Enchante
  3. Six Til Twelve
