Finished 8L second to Highway One O One on hurdles debut at Plumpton (2m, good to soft) in October 2017; 0-11 on the Flat since, so unsurprisingly has another attempt over timber.
76-rated on the Flat (1-15); placed on hurdles debut at Plumpton (2m, heavy) in December, albeit was beaten 24L by Highway One O Two; others make more appeal.
Joined Venetia Williams for €80,000 in November 2018; highly tried on stable debut at Chepstow; disappointing when beaten in excess of 20L by St Barts in a 2m4f Uttoxeter maiden (heavy) since; capable of better?
Sets the clear form standard; stayed on from off the pace to finish fourth to the front-running Guardia Top at Sandown (2m, soft) in early December; highly likely to relish the return to a more suitable trip (dam was a 3m7f winner).
Presenting mare; justified favouritism on debut when winning a bumper at Uttoxeter on New Year's Eve 2018; should take on board the experience gained from her hurdles debut at Uttoxeter 73-days ago; a possible player.
Half-sister to the 2m7f hurdle winner No Trumps (also carries the silks of HM The Queen); 50-1 when seventh of 13 to Getaway Totherock on hurdles debut at Ludlow (2m5½f, soft).
Forecasts
Mickey Buckman (13/8), A Perfect Gift (11/4), Enzo D'Airy (4/1), Conjuring Trick (13/2), Cristal Spirit (12/1), Cohesion (16/1), Alfsboy (50/1)
MICKEY BUCKMAN has already shown more than enough ability over hurdles in order to take a race of this nature within his stride. At first glance, he was slightly disappointing when only fourth to the front-running Guardia Top at Sandown in early December, although there were undeniably mitigating circumstances. He clearly needs a greater test of stamina (and he'll certainly get that here) so with Joshua Moore taking over in the saddle, he's preferred to Enzo D'Airy (Venetia Williams) and A Perfect Gift (Olly Murphy).
