Useful handicap hurdler, stays 3m and prefers good ground, so any more rain a negative; ran okay here over Christmas and Bryony Frost back in the saddle a positive, and yard have had a couple of recent winners after a quiet spell; bit to do.
Ran a cracker at Newbury (3m) latest start, beaten a length and fourth has won in the week to give the form a solid look; drop back in trip not an issue, but handicapper has him where he wants him and not hard to think others are better handicapped.
Had been steadily finding his form before coming good at Hereford last time out, staying on well to lead late (20f); up 5lb for that which now means he requires improvement, and yard had been quiet until having a winner at Ludlow in the week.
Improving novice that has won two of his last three starts, although not entirely straightforward; 8lb rise for his latest Worcester win seems enough, and having not been seen out since October, possible he will need this.
Back down to his last winning mark, which came at Wincanton last February, and ran a little better than finishing position suggests here last time out; having said that, was well beaten at the death, and needs plenty more here.
Fairly lightly raced 6yo (this will only be eighth start), went very close to winning a good handicap over C&D last March and conditions clearly suit him well; fell at Ludlow last time when still in with every chance, and must have chances here.
Winner over 3m at Hexham in October but has not gone on from that, and was well beaten behind Keen On last time; that probably too bad to be true but needs to get back on track now, and others may improve past him if not.
Improving novice that seemed to appreciate the step up in trip at Aintree to 20f last time, never stronger than at the finish; 8lb rise for that fair, more to come with another step up in trip a positive, and has to be taken very seriously.
Progress had looked to have stalled until going in at Hereford last time, coming right away in the latter stages and this step up in trip ought to suit; 4lb rise fair enough, and although overall another step forward is required, he may be capable.
Took a step backwards on latest start, finishing well beaten at Doncaster but that simply too bad to be true, and better judged on earlier third at Ascot, when third to two useful sorts. More to come, trip no issue and one to consider.
Hard to win with handicap hurdler, has to be held up for a late effort as he doesn't always find what's promised off the bridle; solid effort to be fourth here over Christmas, and faster they go the better his chance, but may find others stronger.
Made the most of an easy task at Fontwell two starts back but then took a backwards step at Market Rasen last time; the addition of a tongue-tie might give an idea what the issue was, but overall form needs plenty of improvement.
Has some useful novice hurdle form to his name, and has been far from disgraced in quality handicaps last two starts, both over 3m; gives impression this small drop back in trip will help, and carries little weight, so has e/w chances here.

Notre Pari is totally unexposed and the way he got on top late at Aintree suggests this extra distance will be in his favour. He lacks of a bit of experience but that aside, is going to be tough to beat. The recommendation though is an e/w bet on DEBESTYMAN, for whom this trip could be ideal, and has run well in competitive handicaps on his last two starts. He may yet have a bit more improvement in the locker. Northofthewall will find this tougher than his Hereford win but cannot be discounted, Burrows Edge looks like Nicky Henderson's main hope but don't discount the chances of Theinval from an attractive mark either.
