Yard have a top-class 7-18 record with newcomers in these events (last five years); this one looks another likely sort. Brother to useful winner up to 7f Nashirah (2yo 6f winner); market should provide a good guide as to what's expected.

One of three newcomers in this; first foal out of mare who was a winner at up to 1m2f (2yo 1m winner) by Australia. Yard have a poor 3-51 record with debutants in this sphere (last five years); may be best watched on his debut given that statistic.

Stable also have a debutant running in the first division of this novice stakes. Half-brother to minor US winner by Street Sense; dam unraced half-sister to smart US 8½f winner Conquest Curlinate; best watched on debut unless the market speaks.

Has winners in his pedigree and showed some promise on his debut last November over 1m at Lingfield (sole 2yo run). Form yet to be tested but ran on well to finish third and there may well be more to come this time around.

Attracted support on both of his runs starting favourite last time over C&D when running to a similar level as he did on his debut. Both those experiences will stand him in good stead butt he does look a little vulnerable in this.

Made some appeal on pedigree but hardly shaped with any promise on his debut; slow away and being in the rear for much of the contest. Hardly done enough to be of interest here and not exactly helped by being drawn out wide.

Has from his first start looked one who would need time and still looked green on his third start (off the bridle a long way out). Kept to this trip he really looks as though he needs further and will do better in 3yo handicaps over further.
Shaped with some encouragement and promise on his debut despite being given a hopeless task from his track position (only ran on very late). Open to further progress with that run tucked away and could well get involved here.

Easy in the market on her Wolverhampton debut over 7f she produced a first effort full of promise with the penny only dropping late on. Still plenty to do late on she ran on well; sure to improve with this 1m suiting her better, one to note.

Suspicion is that she's better than she's shown so far having offered something to work on from her York debut. Blew the start when last seen so ran below her debut form but may yet do better although the wide draw isn't a help in this instance.

From a powerful yard but looked in need of her debut at Lingfield over 1m showing only greenness. Half-sister to several winners so may do better in time (looks the type) but likely to be one of the minor players in this.

Failed to progress from what was a promising debut over 7f here when upped to this C&D last time, again well supported in the market. May not have been seen to best effect last time (second has won since); remains with potential in this sphere.

Has looked fairly limited on both of her 2yo starts going with little fluency on each occasion. Never a threat on either occasion it's unlikely she'll be able to trouble the principals here; needs this run for a mark, handicaps await.

More strength in depth in this division of the novice with the Godolphin newcomer Al Maysan of particular interest given Charlie Appleby’s record with newcomers at this level, he’s one to watch in the market. Rideson hasn’t so far quite lived up to market expectations and a wide draw doesn’t make things easy this time around either but she’s sure to be in the mix. Line Of Enquiry and Martin’s Brig are two other that can’t be ignored but perhaps the most interesting runner is WIN O CLOCK who made up plenty of ground from a hopeless position on debut; he’s expected to come on a great deal. Full Secret is another to note having shown promise on her debut and this 1m will suit far better.
  1. Win O'clock
  2. Al Maysan
  3. Full Secret
