Showed fair form in four bumpers and on hurdling debut before getting off the mark in good style at Bangor (2m½f, heavy) four weeks ago. Evidently improving and worthy of respect but his penalty makes life tougher in this contest.

Won well on his second hurdles run at Carlisle (2m1f, soft) three runs back and matched that form back there 11 days ago when second to a decent prospect. Likely to make his presence felt but with his penalty, may find a couple too good.

0/23 on the Flat in Ireland and no immediate signs of that changing when tailed off at Uttoxeter on British/stable/hurdling debut at Uttoxeter, beaten 63L into sixth. Considerably more required to get involved here and others preferred.

Full-brother to a 2m hurdle winner, and useful on the Flat at up to 1m6f. Made a promising switch to hurdles when third but couldn't quite build on that when fourth at Huntingdon (2m, good to soft) and has to reverse form with Marlborough Sounds.
80-rated Flat performer who won twice in Ireland (1m4½f/1m6f). Cost 25,000 gns and made the market leader pull out all the stops when second on hurdling debut at Huntingdon (2m, good to soft) 18 days ago. A danger to all if building on that.

Modest on the Flat with a career record that reads 1-23 and in poor form in that sphere in recent months. Tailed off when beaten 89L on hurdling debut at Ludlow (2m, soft) last month and a similar outcome likely again.

25/1
Half-sister to two hurdle winners (Carlton Jack/U B Carefull) who showed some promise on bumper debut at Newcastle (2m½f, Tapeta) in January, finishing third. Didn't build on that at Chepstow (2m, soft) recently and best watched on hurdling debut.

Horse silk
16/1
Showed similar form in two bumpers this year, seven months apart, making the frame both times. Didn't seem to get home at Wincanton (2m5½f, good to soft) on hurdling debut three weeks ago and the drop in trip should help but improvement needed.

12:35 Market Rasen - 26 December 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

After a promising hurdling debut at Huntingdon, MARLBOROUGH SOUNDS can go on better at the second attempt. That form is just about the best on offer and he's open to improvement in this sphere. There isn't a lot between Multellie and Millers Bank on form but the latter is relatively unexposed in comparison and is still improving whilst Quart De Garde dons the hood for his British debut having shown a fair level of form in his native France.
  1. Marlborough Sounds
  2. Millers Bank
  3. Quart De Garde
