Best described as a real character he made the best of a good opportunity to score on his second chasing start at Hexham recently (1m7f, heavy). Effective over this trip but up 6lb in a better race; may struggle if those quirks surface again.
Stable in good form; generally do well with in this sphere here and this one took well to fences on his first attempt at Exeter recently over a trip (3m) that stretched him. Went like the best horse in the race, better at this trip, one to beat.
Useful sort over hurdles recording a hat-trick in 2017/18 progressing with each of those wins over 3m. Gave every indication that he will be able to match his hurdling form in this sphere when finishing third here on chase debut; capable of more.
Fair hurdler (at up to 2m4f) although not at the same level of some of these, struggled off a 5lb higher mark when last seen over timber. Shaped as though he retained his ability when returning from an absence (fourth of 5 at Catterick); more needed.
The most inexperienced in the field, makes his chasing debut after three fair efforts in maiden hurdles. Returns from a break so will need not only to prove his fitness but also his ability against four decent opponents; faces a tough introduction.

A useful small-field contest that should prove informative with Saint Fruele bidding to follow up his Hexham win off a 6lb higher mark but he often lets his attitude get the better of him and he may struggle to follow up. CLOUDY GLEN from the Venetia Williams yard (treble at Hereford on Saturday) that do well here seeks to build on his eye-catching Exeter debut where he travelled well for a long way before his stamina gave out, this trip will suit better. Chapel Stile finished third here on his chasing debut (form franked) and like a few in these colours looks as though he could make a good staying chaser. Randy Pike shaped well last time and could well contest the minor honours.
