Gelding by Al Namix. Dam was a maiden over fences in France but closely related to some smart performers in that country, including the top-class Arenice. Notable if there is betting support on rules debut.

Fame And Glory gelding. Made debut in typically-useful bumper, finishing ninth of 20 (2m). Off for seven months and will need to improve greatly to be competitive.

Snapped up for this yard for £125,000. More than impressive on sole point-to-point start (3m) and could have more to give under rules. Represents leading connections and is a leading player.
Gradually improving sort, finishing second over C&D in the spring before one-paced second of 16 at Navan (2m) last month. Sets the form standard and should give another bold account.

Arcano gelding. Dam was a winner on the flat but failed to strike over rules, but is closely related to former Lockinge Stakes winner Hawk Wing. Pedigree looks more flat-based and yard rarely has winners in this sphere.
le Cadre Noir gelding. Related to two hurdle winners including Black Ice. Dam was lightly raced over hurdles but a winner over 1m1f on the flat. Needs to have a look at in the market.

Recital gelding who doesn't have an impressive pedigree. Sent off an outsider on debut over C&D in April and ran accordingly when 19th of 25. Likely to fill the latter places once again.
€40,000 filly by Shantou. Related to useful hurdler/chasing Spending Time and dam was a fairly useful performer up to 2m6f. Stablemate of Grangeclare Native and looks second string on jockey bookings.

GRANGECLARE NATIVE was an impressive winner on his point-to-point debut at Curraghmore in April and while he lacks the experience of some of his rivals, the hefty price tag paid for him suggests he may be highly regarded and the yard tend to do well in these races. Jungle Junction sets the form standard given his most recent two efforts and looks to be the main rival if progressing once again, while Farmix and Coolbawn Lad and severely unexposed in this sphere and should do better from whatever they achieve in this.
  1. Grangeclare Native
  2. Jungle Junction
  3. Farmix
