Horse silk
20/1
Yard not really known for their bumper runners (0-7 last five years) so this Passing Glance gelding can probably be left out of calculations debut. Looks one for the longer term in any case judged on his pedigree.
2
Horse silk
50/1
Asked a tough question on his debut at Newbury in a deep bumper over 2m abut showed very little having raced well off the pace. This is a more realistic level but still has plenty to prove.
3
Horse silk
Hillberry
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: R Johnson| T: C E Longsdon
12/1
Newcomer from a yard that are 5-71 with debutants in this sphere over the past five years. Dam unraced half-sister to modest hurdler/useful chaser Pete The Feat; ungenuine but fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Atlantic Roller; note a market move.
4
Horse silk
5/2
Second on his bumper debut at Carlisle (2m1f, soft) he shaped as though he will need a greater test of stamina (unlikely to get that here). That was a promising start though; can't be ignored with that experience behind him despite the yards woes.
£800 yearling from a yard that are unlikely foes in a bumper having a 0-7 record with newcomers in this sphere in the last five years. Out of a maiden dam he's probably best watched on debut.
6
Horse silk
17/2
Half-brother to smart hurdler Getaway Trump who showed some promise in two Irish maiden point-to-points and was then bought for £48,000. Yard have only had two bumper runners one a well backed newcomer at Catterick recently, one to keep an eye on.
7
Horse silk
13/8
Second in a point-to-point earlier in the year when 5-4 favourite; showed plenty of ability on his Rules debut in an Ascot bumper. Did well given the tough task he was set (best of those coming from off the pace); sure to show more on this occasion.

Convivial411
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-5| J: Joe Colliver| T: Micky Hammond
12/1
Sister to bumper winner Mountain Path, and half-sister to 2 winners, including bumper winner Sherry her pedigree suggests that she should make an impact in this sphere. Held back by inexperience on her debut; returns after a significant absence.
9
Horse silk
14/1
Newcomer, €25,000 yearling from a yard that are 6-38 with their bumper debutants in the last five years. Dam 2yo winner at up to 1m; pedigree lacks stamina but hard to write her off given connections.
10
Horse silk
14/1
Dam was a staying hurdle chase winner so there should be some stamina in the pedigree of this newcomer. Yard 2-16 with bumper newcomers in the last five years; possibility that she may need this and further in time.
Half-sister to six winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Duel At Dawn (stablemate) and bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Miles To Memphis. Yard not known for bumper winners (0-12 with newcomers last five years) but they are in good form.

Forecasts

Third Time Lucki (13/8), Jayaaah (5/2), Lively Citizen (17/2), Convivial (12/1), Hillberry (12/1), Rainyday Woman (14/1), Dirty Diana (14/1), Shiroccsmyworld (14/1), Can You Call (20/1), Dreamsundermyfeet (50/1), Langton Bomber (100/1)

15:25 Market Rasen - 5 December 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The second that Jayaaah produced on his debut at Carlisle would if reproduced take him close to winning this but the fact remains that his stable are still finding their way to full form and this may just be needed. Despite the fact that the Ascot debut third of Third Time Lucki isn’t working out he did come from a fair way off the pace in that contest and a more positive ride will see him go close. David Jeffreys had a well backed bumper newcomer at Catterick recently come second and his LIVELY CITIZEN looks interesting. He shaped with promise behind some subsequent expensive buys when pointing in Ireland. Hilberry and Dirty Diana are two others to note.
  1. Lively Citizen
  2. Third Time Lucki
  3. Hillberry
