Horse silk
Northern Poet21
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-7| J: L P Aspell| T: N J Gifford| CD
10/3
Yeats gelding; made a winning start when driven out to beat Global Harmony by 1¼L over C&D three weeks ago - had a number of these rivals behind; carries a 7lb penalty for that success.
2
Horse silk
Ace Time21
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: Adam Wedge| T: J R Jenkins
20/1
Sinndar gelding; finished 7¼L fourth to Northern Poet over C&D three weeks ago; must improve in order to reverse those placings, albeit that can't be ruled out on 7lb better terms.
Arcadio gelding; has failed to show up positively in two starts to date (Cheltenham and Wincanton), so it'll come as a major surprise if he has a constructive role to play.
4
Horse silk
25/1
Beat Hollow gelding; was making his debut for Gary Moore when finishing fifth of 13 (beaten 8¼L) to the reopposing Northern Poet over C&D three weeks ago.
5
Horse silk
10/1
Vinnie Roe gelding (€1,000 yearling, £23,000 3yo); fourth foal; half-brother to the bumper winner Monkhouse; wears a tongue-tie for racecourse debut.

66/1
Fair Mix gelding; 50-1 when finishing a hopelessly tailed-off last of 13 to Northern Poet over C&D three weeks ago.
7
Horse silk
Millstone236
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King
12/1
Alkaased gelding; half-brother to four winners and boasts a reasonable amount of experience; took a clear step forward when finishing third (beaten 2½L) to Willie Butler (Mr Perfect second) at Huntingdon (2m, good) in April; off since.
8
Horse silk
Minella Tara212
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-0| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien
13/8
Kayf Tara gelding; bought for £90,000 in May; held every chance when falling at the last on sole point-to-point start for John Nailen (3m, Stowlin); is closely related to the bumper winner Owenacurra Lass among others.
9
Horse silk
Mr Perfect236
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-0| J: C J Todd(7)| T: Ian Williams
7/1
Mustameet gelding; a shade unruly in the prelims yet posted a pleasing debut at Huntingdon (2m, good) in April when vainly chasing home the winner Willie Butler (Millstone ¾L back in third); enters the reckoning on return to the track.
10
Horse silk
Dancing Doris225
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-7| J: Bryony Frost| T: N B King
5/1
Malinas filly; half-sister to the AW bumper/2m4f-2m5f hurdle winner Peggie's Venture; Bryony Frost is a notable jockey booking; it'll be interesting to see how the sole filly in this line-up figures in the market exchanges.

Forecasts

Minella Tara (13/8), Northern Poet (10/3), Dancing Doris (5/1), Mr Perfect (7/1), Edward Blue (10/1), Millstone (12/1), Ace Time (20/1), Ballycloven Beat (25/1), Arc Of Bubbles (66/1), Gorgeous George (66/1)

12:45 Lingfield - 3 December 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Northern Poet had the measure of a number of these rivals, including Ace Time (fourth) and Ballycloven Beat (fifth) when winning over C&D three weeks ago and should confirm those placings despite a 7lb penalty. However, the pair to concentrate upon are possibly Mr Perfect and MILLSTONE who finished second and third respectively in a Huntingdon bumper in April. Of the remainder, the Fergal O'Brien-trained rules debutant Minella Tara should be monitored for strong signs of market confidence.
  1. Millstone
  2. Mr Perfect
  3. Northern Poet
