After a mishap at the first on his Irish point debut, he won easily at the second attempt (testing ground). Bought for £80,000 shortly after. In very good hands of a trainer who is 3-10 in bumpers this season. Interesting.
Supported in to 6-1 prior to his debut, when 29L eighth of nine at Chepstow last month. Likely to prove better than that, and experience can often count for plenty in these events. Needs improvement.

Irish point runner-up who was easy to back on his rules debut, when 1L third at Warwick (good) in May. Stable at 20% (higher than five-year average) this season in this sphere and had good bumper winner at the weekend. Should go close.
€21,000 foal, €70,000 3yo. Brother to a bumper winner who also scored at up to 2m4f over hurdles. Plenty of stamina in his pedigree. Top stable's bumper runners just 8% (unusually for them) this season. Market check.
€8,000 3yo, out of an unraced sister to bumper and 2m-2m3f hurdle/chase winner Pepperoni Pete, and also 2m4f-3m2f hurdle winner Eveready. Stable 4% in this sphere over five seasons, so may be one to watch on debut.
Half-sister to a placed bumper and 2m hurdle runner, out of an unraced sister to staying hurdle winner Lady Karabaya. Stable 1-31 in this discipline over five seasons.
25-1 and well held in a mares' bumper at Warwick on debut earlier in the month, where she lost her shoe. Can only watch this time.

Some top stables represented here and, as usual, it should pay to concentrate on them. My Friendly Cousin didn't appear to run as well as was anticipated on debut, but should improve for that. Arcadian Pearl, Java Point and Santon look to be the most interesting trio among the newcomers, though both Ask A Honey Bee and Wilde About Oscar are likely to prove capable too. However, WHEN YOU'RE READY enjoyed a good experience on debut, and represents a stable going well enough at present, and he is taken to score this time.
