Course winner over 2m5½f (good to soft; first-time tongue-tie) in March, when 8lb lower. Ran well next time from just 1lb lower than today. May have needed his recent Warwick reappearance and not ruled out.
Won an Exeter handicap chase (3m, good to soft) in January, when 8lb lower. Flopped next time, when the trainer said the race came too soon after, and not seen since. Scope for more from this mark and goes well fresh. Interesting.
Seven-race maiden under rules, but placed in two of his three chases to date. Acts on soft, but has a bit prove over this far and also after being pulled up on his reappearance. New headgear tried.
Has claims from this mark on some of his old form, but well held in all his last four starts in this code, plus another on the Flat in that period. Hard to fancy on that evidence.
Multiple chase winner, including twice over C&D last winter. Acts on soft. Back on the same mark as his most recent win, in January, and no surprise if, after a recent pipe-opener, he is heavily involved.
Heavy ground novices' hurdle winner last year. 0-5 over fences. Hasn't really looked like winning a chase, but if things go particularly well he may be capable of picking up some prize money.
Wide margin winner of a Sedgefield chase (3m2½f, good) in April, when 3lb lower. Acts on soft, but best efforts have been with 'good' in the going description. Inconsistent, but not ruled out if near his best.
Forecasts
Urbanist (13/8), Cash To Ash (4/1), Houndscourt (5/1), Hugo's Reflection (13/2), Pc Dixon (15/2), Sigurd (9/1), Scorpo (25/1)
A moderate contest where URBANIST is taken to come back strongly from a break and add to his earlier Exeter success. Hugo's Reflection is feared if stripping fitter for his recent reappearance. Scorpo and Houndscourt should go best of the remainder.
